If It Rains?

Test Track and Astro Orbitor close when there is heavy rain/lightning etc. None of the coasters go down with rain.

Not sure on Dumbo or Aladdin.

I am pretty sure that Splash Mountain, Dumbo and most likely Alladin close down when there is lightning within 5-10 miles of WDW. If it is just rain they keep the rides going.

All outdoor rides shut down when there is lightning/thunder in the area. Most outdoor rides stay open in the rain. I'm pretty sure Test Track is the only one that closes in the rain.

Big Thunder in the rain is much better than Splash Mountain!!!:p

No Way!! When it is raining while riding Splash Mountain, there is nothing like it! It enchances the ride so much by feeling the water come down on you while you're surrounded by it!

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
One thing I love about Disney/Universal compared to a majority of all other parks is the fact that most of their attractions are indoors.

=( Taking my son for his 1st trip this week and its thunderstorms all week.
I wouldn't worry about that, when I last visited in Oct last year the forecast was rain all week, we had a couple of hours of rain on a couple of the days out of the 14 and two days where it was torrential for maybe half the day?

Most of the time it was blazing sunshine and temperatures were 4 degrees Celsius higher than is usual!

Evrest closes if track gets too wet no?
2 trips ago it rained while we were at AK and just about to get on EE is when it started. we rode EE about 8 times in 30 minutes (2 times we didn't even have to get off of the train). it stopped raining after about 45 minutes of stead light rain, and AK was almost like a ghost town. we had a great day.

I stand corrected. It broke down with me on it once and I assumed (incorrectly) it was related to the increase of rain density

No big deal. The rain is usually not all day. From what I have experienced, it's usually a quick burst of rain or only goes for like an hour or two. Of course there have been exceptions/longer rains but for the most part there shouldn't be any issue. Plus, the longer rains I have been in usually turned into lighter rain, so walking in it wasn't a big deal (except once last year it rained so much that they couldn't do Fantasmic and I saw their alternate rain show without any characters and a lot shorter). But it's really not worth worrying about.
