If characters don't wear face masks...

None of the face characters wear masks.
Interesting, but I would bet there is no hugging or close up pictures with them otherwise the cast members are being unnecessarily exposed to stuff, but I guess if the guests are wearing a mask at least that would help protect them a little.

The fur characters/face characters/dancers etc.... Wearing face masks...
Now tell me you really didn't know what they were talking about?
Not sure the meaning of your last sentence. I believe I said that the foam heads could just have a painted (or equivalent) placed on the faces to make everyone feel like everyone or everything is doing what they have to do. So with your general vague response I wasn't sure if you were saying that the face characters did or didn't or that they might be doing artificial masking on the foam heads. It was a simple question that only required clarification not a snotty remark. Dancers were never even talked about. They are likely to be on stage a long way from the crowd. I was more talking about the meet and greet characters be it foam heads or face. Fortunately I got that answer from a better source.

I think they are just trying to keep the characters, both face characters or not, as close to "normal" as possible so you can still get pictures of them or selfies with them from a distance. Just to try and keep a little of the magic when seeing them.

That's OK, but if the kids have all been told that the mask is necessary to prevent illness, wouldn't they wonder why they had to and the character didn't? Especially with how much emphasis has been placed on it is to protect others not you. So then they see a bunch of characters possibly doing something that could make them sick. That is probably not likely but, we don't give kids enough credit for their powers of observation. It just seems like in the past Disney would have tried to make sure all were made to feel equal in the parks. That was the reason for my questions and thoughts about possible ways to deal with that, but I guess it isn't considered a problem so they went the way they went. It's fine I'm not there anyway.

It's a tough call for sure as to what to do and how to deal with the kids as parents. I'm fine with the decisions Disney has made, but the parents may have some difficult things to explain for sure. Disney magic may have more impact than we ever knew. haha
