Because people dont want more Marvel or any branding.

Which people? All people? Board Member People? Old People? Young People?

Plenty of "people" are apparently very happy with Marvel going in. Yes, I'd prefer non IP related attractions but that ship has very likely sailed.

Not sure when the last non movie based ride was made in Disneyland itself, I guess Rocket Rods in 1999?

So now you understand asking them to not use IP for attractions is pretty much pointless.

Huh, I was answering the poster's question. When I said people I didnt mean "all people", it was referring to the people in this thread that dont like Marvel or more Properties.

Since Marvel is here to stay at DCA, and Disney has shown they want another hotel, I've heard worse ideas than building one over the show building for the Avengers ride (assuming the ride actually happens).

I wonder if it's possible to do this or would some zoning restriction come to play?

I think it'd be pretty unlikely that Disney could buy those businesses on the SE corner though. Candy Cane Inn has been there 60-odd years; I doubt they would sell.

I'd rather have Avengers hotel than a boring hotel concept. I do like themed hotels at Disney World.

What I was saying regarding the IP was that you basically pointed out that they haven't done a non-IP ride in Disneyland (Plenty at DCA) since 1999 yet people still complain that they are doing another IP based attraction. Makes no sense for people to complain at this point, this is what Disney does now. The comment itself about IP wasn't directed at you.

So no one can complain about things getting stale? Should no one have talked about universal making screen based rides non stop too? They clearly got the message.
