Snow is great. Very few events can create the surreal experience of a silent NYC. Blizzard is one of them. The usual cacophony of horns, engines, footsteps and voices are muted.

If there were a blizzard in Orlando, Disney would turn it into a separately ticketed Frozen Festival, and you all would be complaining about the crowds.

12 to 18 inches of snow where I live in South Jersey has been forecasted. If the storm shifts slightly we are then in the Blizzard part of the storm. Snow Blower and shovels ready. If I could be in WDW right now, I would be. This forum helps take me away from the mess that will be here shortly. I think I need to see some palm tree's in my near future to feel better. But until then, that is what dreams and past memories of WDW are made for (sigh).

The perk of a blizzard means you might get a snow day tomorrow, which is right in time to sit in front of your computer and maybe, just maybe, see the BAH reduced to a metal ring.

We live outside of Boston and its going to be a mess for a few days (or more)! Our next trip is in April & the spring can't come soon enough!

Hope all of you in the NE are safe and warm. Winters in the NE are why people move to Florida after they retire. However, it was very cold last night here in North Florida (30), but nothing compared to what y'all are experiencing. As my father reminded my mother when she insisted on going back to Colorado for Christmas one year - "honey, 6 foot snow drifts are why we moved to Southern California!". lol
