Ice Station Cool

As far back as I can remember Coke has always had an exclusive contract at Disney Parks. However, when I looked at the new "Disneyland" DVD set that came out on 12/04/2001, I noticed several Pepsi ads in Disneyland. So back on July 17, 1955 both sodas were in Disneyland. I don't know when Pepsi left.

in a perfect world they could have both so everyone would be happy...but I don't think Pepsi would sponsor an attraction if in the next land over, Coke is sponsoring one...

It's very interesting what you are saying Epcot71. And very probable since Coca-Cola recently teamed up with Universal Studios, and we know how Disney like to preserve an unique status, meaning EISNER wants it all just for them (which is good).
Another interesting fact is that Walt Disney himself was a good friend of Ray Krock (McDonald's creator) since both fought in WW and became pals- obviously neither of them had started their empire, yet, but it's amazing.
However, Coke has prestige, is involved with Unicef, is an american icon and has a relationship with the GO network ;while Pepsi and their "Generation Next" slogan is a soda meant for younger people -after all, their goal is to dominate younger people so they grow old drinking Pepsi.
I simply prefer COKE to PEPSI, though 7Up to Sprite...

Some of those free samples were pretty tasty, in particular that watermelon flavored soda. There was one, though, and I can't remember the name, that was just downright nasty.

I was just reading about WEDway fun and remembered this thread. When I go into Ice Station Cool, I have a lot of fun Suggesting flavors to try and watching the expression on perfect strangers faces, Mainly I suggest Beverly for OBVIOUS reasons. They then think I'm crazy and we start laughing about it and then team up and do it to other people, and they get a laugh and so on. It get contagious after a while. The next time your at EPCOT, give it a try, assuming you like to watch people, and can chat with strangers about nothing.

I also did this at the World of Coca Cola in Atlanta Ga. It works there too.

Is it true that Beverly is distilled earwax? It's so disgusting. Personally, I drank enough Apple Lift to last me until I get to go back again.

Is there any way to order any of those sodas in the States? I'd love to have the non-alchoholic beer/cola and Apple Lift in my fridge at home.

Oh, now let's be serious

Seriously: You know that WDW has Coke because they can use it's industrial cleaning ability when they need it!:slurp:

Really, I am a Coke drinker (when i drink soda - about 3 times a year), but what we should all be focusing on is WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU GOT FREE POP AT A THEME PARK????

I think it is a really cool (no pun intended) idea, although I think it would be better in a way if they had individual stands set up around WS with one at every country with that country's soda - and some sort of way to purchase some to send home if you found you like it. It ALWAYS perplexed me that they didn't sell it.

I am with you!! Coca Cola all the way! And with all its calories! It´s not as sweet as Pepsi and it is "uplifting".. whenever you feel like fainting or sleepy, a Coke helps, but not a Pepsi.
:animwink:

As for Ice Station Cool, Beverly is disgusting and my italian friends deny having it there. ;)
Manzana Lift (Apple Lift), the mexican one, is very good in my opinion. We do have that one.

Somebody mentioned about selling those in WSC in the respective countries of origin... I think that would be cool and would add more "touch" to WSC.;)

I organize a "multisectorial" expo where I live which is the biggest in the southeast of Mexico, and we will have its 4th edition this year. The first year, Coke was one of the sponsors; the second year, we invited Pepsi too because we wanted both of them there. Believe it or not, they both sponsored, for the first time ever. Last year, we had them both with big "pavillions" each and one in front of the other in equal circumstances. It´s the only event in which they do that because it is the biggest and most important. ;) hehe...

You had to see the faces of the visitors on the first expo when they saw the banners of both in the convention center.... people couldn´t believe how we managed to convince both to participate. but of course, none of them wanted to leave! And we proved that we could have both! ......and everybody was happy! ;) ;)

Where are you exactly in Mexico? I've been to Cancun this last summer, really hot dry weather, but a precious place.

Well you think because that you can speak Spanish that the other members won't know what your talking about because you will speak in a different language. Some people do speak more than 1 language, even though it might not be the greatest.

But I quite can't make out what you just said, something like

"then your welcome to play dog sends," but that doesnt make sense, so oh well.

Haha. It really meant "Welcome to the game DogsRule". If you think I'll outsmart, insult or talk behind your back speaking evil, you really misunderstood the point. Do you think I need to? Naw.

I would do that, but I didn't like any of the sample drinks they had! I think I thought one was OK, but thats it.
