I got out early today because of ICE!

It's snowing right now, but there was freezing rain coming down a little while ago! I got out at 12:30, and had to go pick up my sister!

I love snow! :sohappy:

Be Careful!!! I love snow too...but ice is nothing to kid about...especially if you're driving... Just be careful :)

(although...I'm guilty of pulling into a empty parking lot and tooling around...god I love rear wheel drive in THOSE situations lol)

**DISCLAIMER**
The previous stunts were performed on a closed circuit parking lot and performed by a trained professional. Do not try this at home.

We are in High Point, all the schools are closed, and now the Banks are closing. I'm still at work atm. It is only snowing here, but it is starting to stick. It started later here than in Charlotte.

First snow coming early this year. :sohappy:

So how much do you have on the ground??? I mean...it seems like just a little bit and you have a complete state of emergency  School's dont' close here unless there is at least 6 inches with MORE on the way lol

The problem is that it doesn't snow that often here, we are not properly equipped to handle Snow and Ice, so we close down earlier in general. Plus the people are not as accustomed to driving in it either, so the furthur north the more snow before shut down. Make sense? They are expecting Ice tonight and tomorrow too. Like I said, we are still open, and in general mostly schools are the only things out right now. There is barely a half inch at the moment, but that has occured in the last 45 minutes. So who knows, better safe than sorry I suppose.

Yeah..that's true...I guess up here where we are constantly getting pummelled (lucky for the past couple of years...but this year is already starting out bad...and EARLY) they are more equipped with plows/sand/etc. but...like it was stated earlier...it seems like more and more people every year do NOT know how to drive in it  Hmm...do you know if they cancelled classes at UNC CH or not?

I unplugged my Freezer and placed everything outside since it was colder.

:animwink: It's 28 here, for NC that's cold.

Well, I mean that 28 is cold for December for us during Lunch Time.

Oh, our snow is gone now, it's just Freezing Rain, much like disneyprep50321 said... that's usually what we get, and maybe that makes it worse for us than being furthur up north, I dunno, but I do know that Ice is not fun like Snow, and you also get more fallen trees and power outages with Ice. Oh well.:(

Well, it's getting worse very fast, so we are closing in five minutes along with the City Buses. Most other places are closing up between two and four. So I'm heading home. :sohappy: Oh, and we don't go in til 10 am tomorow right now, could be later if it hits too hard or not go in at all. I love it, but my paycheck don't.

OK, I made it home, and it only took three hours, oh my... people were wrecking left and right. I'm just glad I'm home, it was obviously a lot worse than I thought. Now, I just hope my wife gets home safe, she's still at work right now closing up.

Woohoo!

Down here in upstate SC, things are getting rough as well. Our schools got out at 10:00! I had the whole day to chill. It's great because I had an English test today, but left before it! Not sure about tomorrow, but my guess is a delay, if not a cancelation.
