Hey all,

I just read that the IAAPA is going to be in orlando for the first time since 2004 from Nov 12-16th. For those of you who were at WDW back in 04 during the trade show, do you remember a significant increase in attendance at WDW because of it? Thanks

A quick google search would've showed you this site, http://www.iaapa.org/ and all your questions would have been answered.

As far as the effect on crowd levels, I wouldn't worry about. Any planned trips to the parks are usually after hours or totally behind the scenes, which obviously wouldn't matter much to you. Also, most people going down to the convention have enough there to keep them occupied for those few days and they don't spend much time at the parks. You get to see a lot of different things at the show, but WDW is always going to be there. I wouldn't worry about it at all if I were you, even if a few hundred guests make their way over to the parks its still the slow season.

International Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions. I had to go to the link to find out, but thought I would be nice and save everyone else the trouble.

I don't know about this particular convention, but I've attended, as a spouse, another very large professional convention in Orlando, and it was very crowded, as the participants brought their families, who spent the day in the parks while their spouses went to the meeting.

It does not effect attendance levels......nor really hotel occupancy in the convention center area. It is a very small convention compared to most that come through Orlando.

No. But the International Home Builders Association show sure does. MAN I hate that show. :fork: It's the one week of the year I can't ride my motorcycle to and from work. Why are there so many idiots on the road that week?
