It's that time of year, folks. The biggest amusement industry trade show of the year. $300 is a little hefty to get in. So I leave it to you. Please post updates of the show this year. I beg of you. Take pics. Lots. More. Now.

This year I was unable to get a hold of dlmagicdarren in time to have my name added, so I'm repping WDWMagic (and my site) this year

Wasn't us. Must've been MouseInfo.

ok, cool.. thanks for clarifying that.. lol. I really forgot which one it was.

I should have photos up tomorrow, I've been really busy at work with the Florida Classic this weekend. Quick updates... I saw people from almost every theme park related website there, IOACentral had the most. with screamscape, themeparkadventures, mouseinfo, and others there. Lots of WDI/Disney/Universal Orlando people speaking openly about things that could easily be overheard :D and a few other things. I got to shake hands with Jay Rasulo before he did his speech... very nice guy, and I meet a lot of very high ranking executives from theme parks across the world. A lot of cool technologies were showcased (more on this later), free samplings of theme park food (free Dippin Dots and Pepsi!), and more inflatable stuff than you can shake a stick at.

Expect more tomorrow.

I think it's gonna be in Orlando for the next few years due to the new convention center

Just talked to Rob a little bit ago and he said it's in Atlanta next year. Only reason I asked is because I wanted to go next year once I move in...but it would have to be a road trip. I'll just wait and go to it when it's in Orlando again.

Which would show it as being in Orlando this year. It's ok, we all mess up on things. If you want to go, make a road trip to Atlanta next year.

Man, I wish I would have known about this earlier so I could go. O well. So it seems like it is open to the public??? Or would I need to be "Press" for WDWmagic.

I think it's like $300 bucks to get in if you aren't press. Then again, I could be wrong. That wouldn't be far from the truth.

Yes. It was right around $300 to get into the event. To be "press" for WDWMagic you would have to have approval from Steve and then request it from IAAPA. Rob was able to get approval from Steve but it was too late to go there as a WDWMagic rep. He is hoping that next time it's in Orlando he will be a rep. for us though.

So...request who you want to be a press rep. for, then get accepted by IAAPA to be a rep. for that place and then show up. If you're not press, be prepared to pay the high price.
