I would....BUT....

Come on people. I keep seeing, if I didn't have a bad back, didn't have this, didn't have that..."I would". I can understand people having serious problems, but "my bad back" etc doesn't cut it with me.

I flipped a car 9 times at over 95 mph. I got thrown out of another car slamming in to a ditch at 60 mph. Want to talk bad backs? bad joints? Had a bad back anyway, before then, as well as bad knees, bad neck...

I still ride pretty much any coaster I run across, that I want to ride. So how does a bad back, bad whatever stop you from riding, other than using it as an excuse? I would like serious answers, because there's not a part of me that isn't injured, especially from just those 2 wrecks. I haven't even been able to walk straight since getting thrown out of that car.

Note: Those of you who have serious physical ailments, this doesn't relate to you. (wheelchair bound, etc).

I spent the entire summer in physical therapy. If I hurt my back again, I can't work anymore. I have had multiple trauma, some from car accidents, and some from things which happened which are not your business. I go on some roller-coasters, but I have to be careful. It's not worth losing my job over.

Maybe I can get you in contact with my doctor, since it bothers you so much.

I'm not really seeing the point of the question here. A bad back can be seriously reinjured by the g forces of roller coaster and other jarring or bumpy rides. Simple as that.

And the rollercoasters today are getting more intense and can really jepardise a person's physical intake.
A Back injury or ANY Physical injury is not just a thing you brush off. It takes time to recover. And if someone says they cant ride or take part in doing somthing.. Then they cant!

I can´t believe you are asking this and daring to start a thread about it!

If my back hurts and I have hurt it once, there is NO WAY I am going to risk it for a 2 minutes coaster ride. Heck, even with a good back, I would never risk it if I see the minimum amount of risk. On that note, you know I am never bungee jumping or trying any extreme ride. Some coasters or rides in Disney and IoA can be considered "extreme" for some of us. I´m not going to risk my back and most importantly, my heart!

I think you have been lucky enough to get out safe of those car accidents, ´so congrats. Others haven´t, and they didn´t need a car accident to injure their back.

MBB, really.... I can´t believe you are questionning people´s reasons! Why do you care?

I wasn't trying to insult anyone. I asked a question. Didn't know anyone was going to cream themselves over it. It wasn't meant to be an insult.

I use my bad back as an excuse often. Not because of a roller coaster, but other reasons. But I always see people say my [insert thing here] hurts....but that doesn't always mean it's going to keep you off a ride. Rather than you letting that keep you off a ride.

Thats all the hell I wanted to know. But forget it. Dumb *****. I get so sick of this board sometimes. i can't understand how people call this the nicest board....I will never call it that. It's why I leave for times, I've NEVER felt welcome by anyone here. Unfriendliest board maybe...I would vote for that...after witnessing the board for over a year.

What do you use your back as an excuse for? What's so different from using a bad back as an excuse for not riding a roller coaster?

So were you asking what people use their injuries as excuse for, or how often they use it as an excuse, or hwo often do we think others use it as an excuse? or.... I'm still not sure...

I'd actually like clarification on the first question so I can respond correctly, unless I already did with my first post.

I could care less. I get sick of people here jumping down someone's throat without understanding what they mean. My post wasnt meant as an insult, but everyone wanted to take it that way just to have something to about I guess.

Thats probably why alot of people don't hang around. I don't blame them.
