I think it's impossible

We have our wdw trip coming up 11/29-12/5. The whole trip was put together only like 6 weeks ago, so it's been kind of last minute but 8 of us are going and 2 infants. My wife and I voiced to everyone to get their tickets so we can link up and do fast passes, but here we are less than 25 days out and nothing. I'm thinking it's impossible for us all to link up fast passss at this point, and I don't want to do my wife and my fasts passes without them. Looks like it's gonna have to be the day of type vacation so maybe a lot of lines. :(

I would make your FP+ choices now. When they do eventually buy their tickets and link them to their profiles, you can try to copy over your selections to them. It will copy as many selections as it can and then offer alternatives for those that it can't.

For those that won't copy over, if it were my friends I would take an "oh well, I clearly told you what you needed to do and you didn't do it, so now you have to live with the consequences of your inaction" stance.

Focus on getting a fast pass for the 7 Dwarves Mine Train and the Toy Story Mania Ride. Hopefully, the other people in your party will hurry up and get their tickets, but if they do not then you can always change your fastpasses to something less popular. If all fails and you cannot get fastpasses for these popular rides as a group, I recommend getting to the parks as early as possible and go ahead and go on these attractions first. Also, 7 Dwarves Mine Train seems to have less of a line right before a firework show. So, you could choose a night to skip a the firework show and see it a different night. This new fastpass system can get to be really stressful, but don't let it! It's not the only option to skip lines. Sometimes you just have to get out of bed before the crowds hit the parks or miss out on a parade or firework show that day to get on a ride. Don't waste time standing in two hour lines if you can avoid it, but also don't rely on fast passes as your only option. I hope it all works out for you and that you have a magical trip! Some of the most magical trips are left unplanned, so try to save a little room for spontaneity.

My sister booked late and we were unable to get passes for 7DMT & Toy Story. When we arrived at the parks on those mornings, we went to Guest Services and through some "Disney Magic", we were able to get her on with us. But she was only 1 person, so that might not work for 6 people.

I agree with the others about waiting, but just to play devil's advocate...maybe there is a financial reason that the tickets haven't been bought yet. Not saying that is the case...just throwing it out there.

As others have said, go ahead and make your FPs now and then when the others do get their tickets, you can add as many as you can.

It's my family who all have plenty of money. It's just actually getting it all together is seeming impossible. The part about just booking isn't easy bc we haven't even set out which days for certain parks yet. Keep in mind we are all staying at a big timeshare that my dad has. So we will all we loading up in 2 SUVs to and from the parks together. So everyone is going to wanna stay together for the most part.
