I Saw Joe Rhode At Animal Kingdom...

Animal Kingdom will be offering a new tour (like Keys to the Kingdom, the MK railroad tour, etc) soon to the general public (do not know the name of the tour). As some AK cast members (perhaps Guest Relations?) are being trained to conduct this tour, I think Joe was on hand to give them much insight into portions of the park.

Has this new tour been announced yet?

My brother works in Animal Kingdom at Asia attractions and told me that he spotted Joe Rhode with a cameraman roaming around the area this week. He thought it was pretty cool that the lead Imagineer would be roaming the park like that.

As I work for a big technology company, whose product architects rarely go out into the field to watch a product go through it's paces and better determine what a customer truly wants/needs......I find it incredibly awesome that Joe not only has such excitment about the work, but takes the time to see the guests perspective by roaming. Obviously, he has great skills and perspective to complete the work he has to date, but I'd be curious to know if it is his intent to occasionally discreetly mingle with guests and really observe how we interact and enjoy the imagineering efforts.

He'd be really intriuging & inspiring to meet. For those of you that have met him, consider yourselves very fortunate.

Oooh, I'm jealous- Joe is awesome!

Are they maybe just adding on to the Wild By Design tour to include the Everest area?

There was a thread on another board about what you would choose if you got to pick something for the Million Dreams celebration, and I said a guided tour by Joe Rhode- maybe they're just preparing to grant my wish! ;)

I spotted him in the adventurers club with loads of fellow imagineers last October before everest opened. He was meeting with Jeff Corwin to discuss this whole discovery channel/expidition everest thing that happened. Talk about an incredibly brilliant nice guy. I really hope I get the chance to meet him again one day and this time not to be so shy. I had fun with some of the imagineers that were there talking about some of the changes that were coming to PI, Imagineers are very special people..

Was there at the Adv-CLUB in October as well. Was standing behind Joe in the constipated archway for a while. It was very cool and unexpected.

OK, am I the only one who thinks that those pictures might as well be of the real Yeti found in the wild? Maybe the Loch Ness monster?? You can't see his face at all! It's one of those, "He was right there in front of me...it was amazing...I could almost reach him...here's the clearest picture I could get..."

I was at AK on the 22nd and walked right passed Joe Rhode he was talking to what I assume was another imagineer. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera I could have taken a great close up of that roller coaster of an earing he has. :hammer:
It was so cool to see him in person - I told my wife and she just looked at me like I was crazy.
