When i went to see Scooby-Doo (not a bad movie), I saw the trailer for Disney's The Counrty Bears based on the attraction in MK. In my opnion that movie doesn't look to appealing, maybe it will for others but i know it's not for me.:hammer:

Me either, it looks more like Rock n' Roll than Country music. It's like a twisted Teddy Grams Comercial made feature length. I'd rather see a movie where the Bears come to life and rip themselves off the stage in Florida to get revenge on the people who removed their counterparts from the DL park rather than see what they have come up with. It's a far cry from anything the real country bears are? Where are all the Bears we have grown to love? Oh well, enough CB bashing, I'll propably rent it at least.

All I have to say is where's Big Al!! This is proposterous! Why make a movie without the characters we know and love??

I'm disappointed with the fact that these aren't THE Country Bears, but at least "Blood On The Saddle" is in it. Personaly, I'm viewing the movie as an alternate reality of the Country Bears storyline.

It's only matter of time until a certain someone replies to this thread...

I'm so against this film - those are NOT the real bears!! And now my family is saying how they're bringning all of their friends to see it - just to annoy me! Oh, yes...and it works!!! :brick:

The movie will bomb, and is the most stupid idea Disney has come up with in a long time. I've noticed that Disney has just been $hitting out most of their ideas for their live action movies lately. I can't even remember when I wanted to see a live action Disney movie, I think it was "Honey I Blew Up The Kids". Anyway, the movie is going to do horrible, as I predict Haunted Mansion will, and PoC is the only possible money-maker out of the three.

I agree it looks horrible... it seems to me disney is having trouble creating orginal ideas latley. Look at all those horrible sequels they have made! Cinderella 2 may have been the worst movie on the face of the planet! Is it just me or do the bears look really odd to you? kinda like they didn't put a lot of effort into the design of the costumes so they turned out with odd shapes and faces?:)

dude, I am soooo with you. I thought it was going to be the story of the bears, not some random "hey, look, that kid looks a bit different than his parents! gee, is he adopted!" kind of story.

if someone else sees the movie, can they start a thread on it?! and one for lilo and stitch, even though I am going to see it opening night. ;)

Scooby Doo was so good too! I heard such bad things for it....

and the new harry potter trailer had every kid in the movie theatre saying "mommy! I want to see that, when does it come out!?"

Well we went and saw Scooby Doo the first night. We saw the trailer and all I can say is it looks like it might be almost as dreadful as that crap they called Scooby Doo...well at least the last part was right...whoever wrote that movie should have been shot...nothing like the cartoon creation the kids (& adults) love...since when did Velma show clevage??? We took a whole flock of kids and the only ones who liked it were the 5/6 yr olds who also love Cindy2, PP2 etc. the older kids range in ages 8,10, 11, 12 but unfortunately we helped make it #1 at the BO didnt mean we liked it though...alas I am a bit picky with movies...want something worth paying $5 for. I will make the kids hold off on CB until it gets to the $2 show

Seeing the trailer actually improved my thoughts on the movie, although it seems like STUART LITTLE with bears (bear/mouse is adopted, brother isn't happy, bear/mouse leaves, brother becomes happy again for bear/mouse at the end).

I don't think I will go see it, however I might. The movie theatre here has a special $3 ticket for the first matinee showing during the week, so I might shell out the three bucks for it then.

I saw all the previews for CBJ... It looks like the muppet movie! I think it'll do average at the box office. If nothing else, it will get more people into the parks, which, after all, is the whole idea behind the movies. Think of it as reverse advertising for a change. and with all the sequels and remakes coming out this summer anyways, it's nice to have something that's original.

I know. Henry looks like Chewbaca from Star Wars in the movie to me!

There may be a hidden easter egg in the movie. I read from Fab Disney Babe that the Marc Davis Bear Band painting is on the walls of the theater, so maybe it'll appear in the movie.

Here's her article on the movie(She's an extra in it). It's from last April, but for those of you who haven't read it and have seen the trailer, here are her thoughts from it:

First of all, I don't know what movie Dwarful saw, but the "Scooby Doo" movie I saw Sunday afternoon kicked butt. Matthew Lillard had me in stitches with his dead on gy. And I loved how they totally dissed Scrappy Doo. But hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I mean, now that I think about it, I was probably the only person on planet who hated "Fatal Attraction" when it came out, and that flick was mega-popular.

Anyways...I, too, saw the CBJ trailer and immediately went "?" upon viewing. I can't quite understand why they altered the bear's faces like they did. I couldn't really identify a single one of them with the way the freaky Ewok (not Chewbacca) faces kept flashing onto the screen. Henry? Liverlips? Shaker? Big Al? Were they even there?

Funny thing was that both of my daughters gave it a thumbs down. Rationale for their dislike: the bears don't look like the ones from the real CBJ; where are the girl bears? (important for girls); these aren't the songs they sing; AND this is the exact same adoption thing that "Stuart Little" did (helps that we just rented "Stuart Little" to get the kids prepped for its sequel).

If the reviews are bad, and I'd be shocked if they aren't, it's a total skip for me. I've been burned enough by this treadmill pedestrian Disney crap far too often lately (although I did kind of fancy "Peter Pan II") Face it, guys. It's this time of year. Disney puts out crap in the midst of high summer season thinking they can trick tots into begging their folks to take them to the movies. "Lilo & Stich" probably isn't going to do any better than "Atlantis" did last summer. And "CBJ" has barely been advertized making it seem like "Emperor's New Groove" as far as overall Disney marketing goes. In other words, I don't think the studio brass is even into it.

And I still haven't seen any trailer or TV ad for "Reign of Fire"--doesn't help that I'm not watching much TV now that its rerun season. This alone makes me think that either they are way behind on finishing the effects for the flick or it's going to be truly dreadful.

Grizzly Hall, I think your beloved original shows for the CBJ at MK are looking like they'll be around to stay. This movie already stinks like a wet dog. And we're all pretty much major Disney fans. Imagine what the public in general will be saying.

Trixie is the ONLY girl bear that will be in the film, and as I said before I heard that "Blood On The Saddle" may be in it.
