I thought of you while at Ft. Wilderness campground last night. You will board your
sleigh right across from here ~

This is the only quick serve location and it is take-out only with no place to take it to unless you are staying in a camper or cabin. (No seating anywhere.)

Definitely take the boat over to WL when your sleigh ride is done and eat at Geyser Point or Roaring Fork.

Thank you!! This is helpful! I think we're going to bring our stroller and park it somewhere nearby in whatever land we're doing (à la @21stamps ). That way we have it if we need it but we don't have to navigate through a huge crowd with it if we don't.

We're both tall so the cheap umbrella strollers you get at Walmart are back breakers for us. Better safe than sorry just bringing our own. Thank you for sharing your experience!!

Just read this.. it worked great for us! Just don’t leave the stroller outside of The Land if you’re going to World Showcase, and the heat index is 106 ;)

9 Days Left!!!

And I'm starting to stress a little. I have solid plans. We're more than half packed. Our flight is only 2 hours long. I'm not entirely sure what I'm stressed about, but I am.

Real life photo of me right now:

I HATE sewing, so of course all my outstanding tasks for the trip are sewing related. I need to sew the buttons on the hats I made. I need to sew the strap back on the Belle nighttime dress my daughter was a little too rough on. I need to sew some popcorn and cranberries onto a string for our outdoor Christmas tree. But that's it. That's all there is left to do.

I need someone to come over and sew for me though :cry::hilarious::hilarious: I'll bring you back a mickey pretzel!!

Serious props, girl. Serious props. I can’t even sew a button!!! Tried to perform surgery on our Elf on the Shelf two years ago.. Pinterest made it look SOOO MUCH easier than reality, for me anyway.. I ended up calling my mom for emergency help.lol

We have wait until the night before to pack A's luggage because she's a full time princess now. We're not even planning on taking any real clothes. This is how she's been going to school lately:

Did I mention I ordered a tomboy??!:hilarious::hilarious::inlove::inlove:

LOVE!!!!!!!! I can’t wait to see photos of her when she meets the princesses! I hope you have backup batteries for any phones/cameras!

Okay, guys, change of plans....... Despite the amazing scouting expedition by @Tuvalu we're no longer planning to go to the WL for our arrival day. I was hoping for low 70s for this trip but we're expecting low to mid 80s.

I think we'll all enjoy the pool more than a carriage ride in that heat and humidity, so I've cancelled that portion of our trip.

Pros: we don't have to rush so much when we land, A won't have to spend two days looking at the pool without getting in it, we'll have time to decorate our room and put things away, and we'll for sure be able to hit bedtime on time. Cons: won't see WL all dressed up for Christmas, and the food court food is not going to compare to a burger from Geyser Point :(

You should hang out with my kid. You strange people and your wish to swim in 80 degree weather.. I can’t understand it. I sit by the pool supervising, in long sleeves and leggings. ;)

On a serious note., that sounds like a wonderful 1st day!

That burger looked soooo good :( But I'm sure we'll find something we'll like in the food court!

On the "shakedown trip" to California we were swimming and it was only 64* out. It's amazing what a difference the heated pool water makes! Unfortunately my daughter is still too young for me to sit on the side supervising but I'm so looking forward to that day. Right now she likes to jump off the side of the pool barely in my reach :banghead::banghead:

Oh no. Swimming when 64 is crazy.. I don’t care how warm the water is!! I have a photo of me and my sister in Key West during the holidays one year.. she’s laying out in a bikini, I’m in sweatpants, sweatshirt and shoes.lol. I’m always cold, and somehow I had a kid who is always hot.. he starts wearing shorts in March.. I’m in long sleeves til June here.

That’s funny about your daughter.. I remember those days. I bet she will be absolutely Love a pool day to start the trip!

OMG those Santa photos are priceless! I have similar ones of my daughter with Santa and the Easter Bunny. On our first Disney trip she was 4. She liked the characters like Mickey from afar, but not up close. She was fine with Mary Poppins but too shy for her then favorite Cinderella! You can never tell with little ones!
Love the MagicBands!
It sounds like you are set for a great trip. Everything seems well-planned. Relax and enjoy every minute! I hope you love it. Can’t wait to hear all about it in your TR! Merry Christmas!!
