There definately are not as many children running around CSR which can be a plus for many vacationers. Is is definately one of the quieter resorts in WDW.

Bingo! And now you know why my husband will be happy. But, I can certainly see why the average family would want to be with MORE kids, if they want their little cherubs to make friends. :)

One thing the CSR has that no other resort on WDW property has is the fact the the quiet pool between Castitas 3 and 4 is lined for swimming laps. I think this would be a great idea for all resorts to have at least on quite pool set up as a lap pool.

Shhhh! Not so loud! This is why I booked the Casitas room! I'm a competitive swimmer and I get my morning swim in at that pool. Nothing like getting your workout done without someone swimming into you, onto you etc. :ROFLOL:

My daughter was quite happy there. There were plenty of kids around, but not to many that you had to wait in line to go down the slide, or wait in line to play a game @ the arcade.

I am not a competition swimmer by any means, but doing laps for a 1/2 hour in the morning is a great way to start the day before heading into the parks.

Yeah. I like Castitas 3 or 4 because the pool is there and the bus stop 2 is close by. Unfortunately we do not stay there anymore since we now are DVC members.

I've stayed at all of the moderates and I absolutely loved Coronado. The lake is a gorgeous feature especially if one is lucky enough to get a beach-side room, as we were. Overall I think it's the most attractive moderate (perhaps with competition from Port Orleans Riverside). I think this is one of its biggest strengths.

To me, the pool area is a lot nicer than at the other moderate hotels.

We were there in June (ie busy) and the buses were never full, and we never had to wait long.

The Pepper Grill market was also a plus. Prices are not much higher than a food court but the setting is much nicer.

The room we had at Coronado was miles better than what we've had at other moderates. We had a king bed, our room was on the beach...it was awesome. We did get an upgrade because it was a very special occasion.

Overall I only have good things to say. It is a very big resort, but we never got lost. I can't say the same about PORS...we got lost over and over again.

Congratulations!

I think CSR is great but it's my family's least favorite Moderate Resort. We've been to WDW several dozen times but stayed at CSR only once. Now I can't convince them to go back.

We didn't have any problems while we were there. However, they felt it's too spread out, with the main building on one side, the main pool on the other, and a lake in between. If you compare it to the other Moderate Resorts, you'll see that the main building and main pool are relatively close together at the other resorts. It is what it is. Nothing you can do about that!

Also they didn't like the food court. They much prefer the food court at POR. I agree with them on this. POR really does have the best food court of all the Moderates.

Of all the Moderates, I think CSR has the best bus service to the parks.

We stayed at CS last June and this February and this is spot on. It is too spread out. From where our room was it was about a mile or it felt like a mile walk to the front desk and food area. The main pool is on the other side of the lake as well. It is a beautiful resort though.

CSR is simply lovely. Each area has spot-on themes. It truly is not "too big". Pepper Market is delicious and the waitresses are wonderful. Never had to wait too long for a bus. The location of CSR is pretty much smack-dab in the middle of every thing. Short bus rides to every park. My family loves the privacy doors that block off the sink area from the actual bedroom.

The walk from the Front Desk to the food area is about 300ft at Coronado Springs Resort since they are in the same building. I am not sure how that would feel like a mile walk. The Caribbean Beach Resort is spread out and a walk from South Trinidad to the Customs House is over 1 mile.

The longest walk from any point in CSR to either the pool of food is under 1/2 mile since it is only .3 miles at it's widest point. Granted it is .24 miles between El Centro (Main Bldg) and The Dig Site (Main pool), but that is that bad.

Port Orleans is laid out just like CSR. The size of Riverside is nearly identical to CSR. The pool however is located closer to the main building here and in comparison to CSR it is basically where Lago Durado since PO doesn't have a lake, but just a river.
