I need some more trip planning advice..

Hello again everyone!

I began planning our vacation through www.yourmagicaljourneys.com (found them before this site, sorry Kingdom Konsultants )
So far, I've only booked our hotel room and our DME through our agent there. Haven't bought park tickets yet because we weren't sure exactly what we wanted to do. Well, we figured it out last night, and I also went to mousesavers.com and found a couple of sites where you can buy discounted tickets to several attractions.

We want 5-day park hoppers.
If I buy through UndercoverTourist, I can get 5-day park hoppers upgraded to 6 days for free, plus tickets to La Nouba, and Universal, for only about $100 more each than if we booked through Disney with the travel agent for five day passes. (sorry if that's confusing =\)

The question is, is it okay if I just used my yourmagicaljourneys.com agent for my hotel and Magical Express, and then buy my park tickets elsewhere, or would that be like slapping her in the face?

If you are looking to save money then do what you must to do that. I myself try to get my clients the best deal out there. If they want a discounted room only and that is the best deal then I also will get them discounted tickets. I also deal with a discount ticket broker that gets good discounts on various Orlando attractions including Disney, Universal and Cirque tickets.

With the packages that Disney has been discounting lately they have actually been the better discount.

Good luck and have a wonderful trip!

I think I'll be using you guys for our next trip, haha.
She did get me a really nice discount on our room, but she only gets park tickets directly through Disney.

Thanks for the input!

edit - Actually, I just thought of another question:
If we buy discounted La Nouba tickets, how do we know what show/seats we have? Or are they on the tickets when they send them to us?

When I brought up the possibility of buying our park tickets somewhere other than through our travel agent, said agent encouraged me to save money. She said it didn't bother her one bit. I managed to save a good bit with a AAA discount, and a savings code I found on www.mousesavers.com. Woohoo!
Hope this helps,
Sheila

Well, I emailed her and asked about it a couple of hours ago. She just wrote back and all she said was "Sure, if you want to."

I feel really bad now, even though I'm not paying her for anything...:brick:

She makes a comission from Disney for the room only so she is getting paid. Don't feel bad, you are saving money. That should make you feel great. I know I feel really good when I can call my clients and tell them that I just switched them over to the discounted package and I saved them X amount of $$. I love the feeling it gives me.
