Hey everyone.....

I am trying to convince my boyfriends family to come down for Christmas. I am going to be there on the college program and I thought it would be nice to see them during the holidays. I heard it is pretty cool there for the holidays. Could you guys give me some good reasons why they should be there around Christmas and then I can print this out and give it to them. I guess I am not doing a good job convincing. Hope you can help. :)

The christmas country bear jambore show. It is so cool, a whole new show just for the season and lots of fun.
Great place to Christmas shop.
Everyone needs to see WDW all decked out for Christmas at least once in their life.
Great christmas lights.
If you are there what more reasons do they need?

My boss, a grown man of 43 years, says that being there at Christmastime is enough to bring tears to his eyes.

That's a big enough endorsement for me!!!!!

I just thought I would quote DisneyPHD on that one... If everything else fails, that´s a good one for blackmail! ;)

I cried to my dad to take days off in december and go see me then. They were planning to do it later during my program, but finally took 4 days off with my mom to go see me in December. They loved it! We had been to WDW before but in the summer mainly, but when I saw the Christmas decorations up, I HAD to show them to them!

The parks look soooo beautiful day and night, the storytellers, the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights at the Studios, and specially the Candlelight Processional in Epcot -that my parents LOVED-.... everything had my parents going "wow"! They went back to visit me later, but we all agreed that the Christmas time was the best!

I hope they don´t miss that chance!

I tried using me as a good reason for them to come down. We all just went together this past january. If they did come down for Christmas, i would be coming home 2 weeks after that. So I turned it around and said but before Christmas you won't see me for 4 months.
The problem is, his parents aren't huge disney fans. I guess they firgured we already went this year, what is so great that we should go back already. We checked airfare yesterday and it is already getting up there in price. Thats why I need some good reasons.

Thanks DisneyPhD and Maria for yours! :)

It is absolutely and truly magical. The first time I went to Disney as an adult was Dec 15-22. We had the best time. There are decorations everywhere, christmas music playing, people are so nice. The hotels (especially the wilderness lodge where we stayed with the huge fireplace) where all decorated and had their own trees and gingerbread houses. Everyone is extra nice. The crowds are low (only between christmas and thanksgiving not during) and the weather is comfortable (sometimes a bit cold).

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party has snow on mainstreet with tons of performers everywhere and it is so beautiful at night with the decorations.

Each of the lands at Epcot does something special. We saw the German version of Santa Claus tell a story. And they have the candlelight proccesional each night with a celebrity host.

The Osbourne family spectacle of lights is one of my favorite things about WDW. Put on your 3 D glasses and watch the millions of lights turn into snowflakes. There is not better time to go to WDW. It will turn the biggest grinches into jolly old souls.

I could say more, but i think you get the picture. It is a magical experience. (some of the characters are even dressed up We had our picture taken with santa claus goofy and chip and dale elves):sohappy:
