I am planning to return to Disney for one week in September 2005. I am wondering, how soon should I start planning?

Its never too soon.
We start the planning as soon as we decide to make the trip, Usually 6 months out.

Anything up to a year out.

But you can't usually do anything really constructive until about 6 months out as flights and hotel allocations aren't set.

I Begin planning a year before i go.. mainly because i need too and of all off the fun i´am having with planning... and because as an european the trip isn´t that easy to make

Our family won't be going to Disney World until November of 2006, however, we're even planning now! We have a change jar set aside specifically for the vacation. We read forums like this to learn the hints and tips of vacation planning and I've already learned a lot! So, like the others have said, it's never to early to start planning/dreaming.
