I need help....

I hope someone can help me. I bought my brother one of those tee shirt/hat combos at Team Mickey last fall for Xmas. As it turned out, when he opened the package, the alarm tags had not been taken off and if you try and do it yourself ink comes out. We have tried our local mall but to no avail. Help!

I'm not sure where you're from, but I had a similar problem last year when I bought a sweatshirt from a sidewalk sale at Cracker Barrel with one of those tags. None of our local Cracker Barrels had the tool to remove them, and I thought I was doomed. I made several calls, and found the catalog desk at our local (RI) JCPenney had the tool and were more than happy to help me with it. Good luck, but don't try to remove it yourself.

I've been looking for the thread, but I can't find it...I remember a thread a little while back where the person had to deal with the situation, and I remember there was a lot of good feedback. It had to do with a jack skellington purse I believe...hopefully someone will remember and be able to find the link.

One idea that I remember was to try to freeze it and then pull it apart... not too sure how that would work though

Call the WDW mail order no. or JC Penneys. you will have a ruined shirt if you dont.........

If you can not get a store with the tool to remove it there are a couple of things you can try. First freeze the ink. Leave it in a freezer turned all the way down for at least 24-48 hours. The first thing I would try is a strong magnet, like one of the ones on a stereo speaker. Quite frequently this will pull out the pin. Just place it on the ink side of the tag and work it back and forth. If that does not work there is a mechanical process that you can use to cut the tag off. Before you do that, call JCPenney's. Why chance losing it in the mail?

If you really want to try to remove it yourself, put it in the freezer to freeze the ink.

I bought a polo shirt last year and had the same thing. They will pay for everything. Call the merchandise line, tell them what happened, they will send you the shipping forms, you send it to them and they will ship it back with the tag removed.
