We are going to be in Orlando from Nov 16-23. We have 4 kids - 16,13,8 &6. They have never been there and are all excited.
I am behind in my planning but I do have a condo(free thanks to the inlaws:D ) and got some good air rates!
Now, I need to plan everything else!
Such as 4 or 5 day pass, character breakfast (can only do 1) and which days are better for which parks etc.

In other words, I need all of your wisdom and knowledge in 2 short monthes time!

Can you help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously though, any tips and help I can get, would be great!

I'm just hoping it is not totally packed then or am I just dreaming:confused:

First...Buy a pair of multi channel two way radios...You can also get the low down on the how to's from Deb's WDW vacation site. It is not commercial and answers a lot of your planning questions. She also has menu's from all of the character meals and how to get reservations at the most popular ones....Breakfast with Cindy is the most popular.

Lindy,

If it's planning that you want then download my Disney Planner, just click the link below in my signature (It's Free).
It contains Tips, plans, secrets, lots of info on most things WDW.

Parks that are crowded.
As your not staying on-site avoid the park that has it's early entry for on-site guests that day.

Earl Entry Days...(so avoid these parks on these days)

Monday........... Magic Kingdom and IOA
Tuesday.......... Epcot
Wednesday.... MGM Disney Studios and IOA
Thursday........ Magic Kingdom and Universal Studios
Friday............. Epcot
Saturday........ Magic Kingdom
Sunday........... MGM Disney Studios and Universal Studios

Water Parks are most crowded at Weekends as the Locals come out to play !!

Character Meals, (my fave's)
The Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom is a great buffet meal with Pooh, Tigger and friends.
The Garden Grill at Epcot, family style meal, very good, Mickey, Chip & Dale all in a revolving restaurant.
The Hollywood and Vine at MGM with Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale

a little more info

We will be in Orlando from Nov 16(fri) to the 23 (fri). We have been to Seaworld and are not sure if we will go to Universal or not.
That is why we are trying to decide if we want the 4 or 5 day pass.
I am thinking that Universal may be too much if we do the MGM or should we skip that and do Universal. I think my kids would like alot of the stuff at MGM since it is Disney movie related.
Is Universal more amusement park? Like 6 flags etc. We have that and some great amusement parks so I could possibly skip that.

We fly in on Fri (16th) and will be in Orlando in the afternoon and leave that following Friday afternoon.

Not sure if that helps out any.

Since early entry for Magic Kingdom is on Mon and Thurs I guess breakfast at the castle should be a different day?

I wouldn't skip MGM, especially as the 100 YoM celebrations are centered there. IOA has got a lot of thrill rides with height requirements. If you are in to coasters etc, then I'd give it a go, but not in place of MGM.

Buy a copy of The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World by Bob Sehlinger. I have found it to be the most informative and unbiased ( 'cause it's UNofficial! ) book out there. It rates everything about WDW, plus the touring guides are very havdy for organizing your time in the parks. We get a new copy every year before our trip, and I always end up reading it cover to cover! Does that mean I'm obsessed? :D

I heard the Garden Grill was a good meal and good forum from a friend that ate there with his 9,7,3 year olds, so I have reservations for next week. I also have reservations for Cinderella's Castle breakfast. VERY hard to get. You must call exactly 30 days in advance at their exact opening time of 7 A.M. We finally got reservations by having 8 different phone lines (relatives, our 2 cell lines, etc.) going in at 7A.M - not before and definately not after! If you're on hold longer than 5 minutes - you're probably not getting reservations for that day.
