I've had these problems with my camera as well. Part of my problem is that I tried to do it just by holding it with my hand. These were taken at Dollywood during their Smoky Mountain Christmas.

At a bigger bind just the garbage can itself and if you don't have a cable release use the self timer. Mine has a two second setting for this purpose.EpcoTim said:A $7 mini tripod and a garbage can work great when your in a bind. And a cable release is a must for critical shots.
