I have found this to be an invaluable tool that has saved me a ton of time in making reservations for our upcoming trip. I think there is room for improvement, but Disney has done a great job implementing this so far, and I couldn't be happier. Way to go Disney!:sohappy:

We can't make our ADRs until October, but really glad to hear that you like the system and had a positive experience with it! Maybe we will go this route when the time comes.

What system do they have in place for reminding people to cancel the reservations if they change their plans?

Will the system get clogged up by people who plan a WDW trip and then decide to cancel or postpone it?
Or by people who make reservations just to have something in place if they decide to eat there?

In the case of off-site rooms, they aren't even connected to the reservations.
Tks.

Have used the system to make a number of ressies now. On for this thursday - and i managed to get the storybook princess dinner at Norway, very lucky. Then Narcoossees for my DH birthday and then cali grill, le cellier and cindy's for when my family visit in september. The popular and fine dining places mostly require a credit card to book, and if you don't turn up then they charge a charge to you account. They also email you your ressie, and you can cancel ressies online.

My sister logged in yesterday morning at 5:58am. It DID make her wait until 6am straight up until it let her start making rerservations. She was able to get Cinderellas Royal Table AND Le Cellier (and 8 others) with no problems. Was done in 20 minutes cause she took her time checking her date AND received a confirmation from Disney Dining at 6:30am.

Excellent!!!!:sohappy::sohappy:

I was able to confirm the 4 resrvations I had made by phone...they were all there, no problem. Plus I booked an additional dinner and added my neice's birthday celebration to each of the reservations.

As for whether they have something in place to remind people of cancellations, I don't think they have anything like that but perhaps if you cancel your room and you have the ADR's linked to that res there will be a reminder in the cancellation e-mail.

I don't think they have that type of thing in place already for people that booked their ADR's by phone, so perhaps they haven't thought of that yet.

if you log in you can also retive ressies made over the phone as long as you have the confirmation no and phone no, you booked the ressie with. I managed to pull the one we had booked for my husband birthday up and cancel it. (i'm treating him to Narccossees instead.)

Unfortunately, we can't do this as we're in the UK... Does anyone have any idea if they'll implement it for international visitors?

When I called, she said because '772' is Chicago, I cannot input my phone number! :(

They still have quite a few bugs to work out and the problems with international guests is one of them. Right now if you are outside of the US you can check availability and try to book online but you will more than likely have to call.

Ahh, alright, thanks! I hope it doesn't take them too long - calling from here for reservations costs quite a bit! Being able to do them online will be a great help!

I know some people have got around the phone no thing by putting their hotels phone no in, and i'd assume they would leave a message for you room if a problem came up. (actually that some person was my mum - they live in the UK) lol

Hi Yoda, Just wanted to point out that everything works fine for Canadian visitors. I can confirm, cancel and make new reservations and was able to look them up by confirmation # and phone# so the problem probably lies for visitors outside North America where their phone numbers are not arranged as: (555) 111-2222 .

Thanks for the conformation. I was not positive about the online system working for our neighbors to the north but I assumed that they would due to the same phone number format which to my understanding has been the root of the issue.

I've found the easiest way if you're from the UK to be able to book online is this.

You need to register on the uk disney website first. Then manually overide to take you to the US site, log in, and hey presto you can make your bookings.

I am glad the system is working for some of you. I fooled around with it and its good but I sure would like to see other times that are open on a specific date you choose.

I wish DVC Members could use this and get the 90+10 option. Right now, I don't think it's available. It doesn't recognize my DVC ressie number and there's no link from the DVC member site. :fork:

That's not good, you think they would have made sure DVC members have the same access. I have heard on other threads that some people have had problems accessing the +10 option, though, so it might just be a glitch...hopefully they'll have it fixed for you soon
