I love my Voyager

For my GSM phone, I bought the SIM card and handset seperately- my handset from the manufacturer and the SIM card (or cards for when I travel abroad) from the provider.

That way I can get an unlimited data plan and use a smartphone :D without getting ripped off on data charges.

i am not very technical but I think voyager works on a different system than the Pda's. I had to get a national access plan.
All smartphones work differently ;)

The difference is the network... the Voyager works on the same system as any other CDMA/EV-DO handset (Sprint, Verizon, Alltel). Meaning, it works on the same system (network) as my Palm Treo 755P handset.

My other phone, an HTC Touch Dual, works on GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks (Cingular/ATT, T-Mobile, Suncom, almost any provider outside of the US and Asia), meaning it can be on the same network as any other provider who uses GSM phones. However, this one stays turned off most of the time, as I only use it when I travel to neighboring islands and don't want to pay $5/minute to roam on their awful TDMA network and lose all data functionality.
