I love Everest

I haven't ridden Everest yet. So I can't say if I somewhat love to dislike the ride to the point of hating the thread about almost loving the que line or slightly hating the coaster in reference to the 'I hate to love..' previous post in not hating or possible loving the Yeti only in the other 'I dislike to hate..' discussion about the loving Everest thread.
It's just that simple.
And I'll find out in 72 days when I get there.

On the other hand, I do love the Burt Bacharach, Expedition Everest connection. Brilliant! :ROFLOL:

I think I need an asprin.

That was MY thread. I got home from work today and signed on to discover the entire thread had been deleted. Either things must have gotten really ugly on it since the last time I posted....or the mods are just incredibly pro-Everest. Either way, I think I'll start a replacement one 'cause I think it had the potential for some great discussion...until people started going kinda crazy and getting all defensive.
Truthfully I thought your thread was fine. You had a well thought out explanation for why you were dissappointed with Everest. Its nice to read something that someone actually spent time thinking about rather than people just spewing out random emotional thoughts.

A lot of members here have a hard time being objective because they love Disney so much and tend to wear rose colored glasses. I would argue that everybody on this site loves Disney, however I am noticing if you say something negative about Disney you usually get blasted and eventually the thread becomes a personal attack against one another. The art of intelligent debate seems to be a thing of the past. Last time I checked it was a discussion board. It would be kind of boring if everybody just blew sunshine up everyone's :zipit: . Hearing other members view points (good or bad)creates a better discussion board.

You should ask a moderator why it was pulled. If you do, let us know the reason.

Debate or argument - different people have different feelings as where the line is between debate and argument. In the threads that I have seen it is not so much people attacking because someone was negative about Disney. It has more often than not been the person with the complaint/negative statement getting ridiculously defensive when people disagree or challenge their argument.

Generally threads that result in personal attacks/massive arguments were intended to do so by the person that started them.
