I guess it's because Disney bought the Disneystore back... I just received an envelope with two single-day hopper passes good for any of the disney parks! I'm only a seasonal cast member but I guess that counts. I don't know if the park cast are used to this but I had no idea it was coming. I was trying to do some convincing that we should stop by the World when we go on our cruise for the honeymoon and now I think it'll be likely (at least for 1 day). I was sooo excited because it was so unexpected. I didn't even see the tickets at first, I just read the letter and started reading faster and louder then running around the room to tell everyone. Any other Disneystore or Parks cast members past or present care to share their experiences on this?

I used to work for the Disney Stores about 10 years ago (when Disney owed them) and twice a year cast members would get two 1 day tickets. It was a great perk of working for the store.

Now that Disney owns the Disney Stores again, I may have to get a part-time job.:animwink:

Its quite a surprise. They usually are distributed twice a year, and are always welcomed. I was happily shocked the night I got my blue pass.

My CM Brother in law is always saving his for when we go down. Last year we were able to get all 7 of us in for 2 days. It was a big money saver.

i work at my disney store whenever im back home from school, and im so mad because i came back from school like a week too late, and they only sent tickets to the cast members that were there before the take over. though i technically was, because i left for shcool, i was a new hire this summer. gggrrrrr

I got 2 of those also. I did the CP and came home in Janunary. It said for being a 2008 CM but I only worked like 3 days in 2008, then I went home.

& of course I get these 2 weeks after I book my next WDW trip. Oh well, looks like I'm going to have to book another trip to use them before they expire. :D

My cousin works part-time at the Disney store and she also received the 2 tickets at the end of June. They also usually send 2 in Dec., towards the end of the month, I think.
And yes, ever since Disney bought back the stores, the benefits/perks are part of that...enough reason for me to wanna go work there a day or two a week...:ROFLOL:

I worked in a store in Rockaway in 94 and i loved it. I got tickets and I used them. I went to Disneyland and MGM back when.

I got home from my Disney birthday trip and they were in the mail that came while I was gone. So exciting. But since I'm a Campus Rep for the College Program I don't need them. So my parents will recieve them christmas morning to use for our trip that starts that day! My mom was there when I opened them but she won't remember that far away!

No, our DS is still open (crosses fingers). And luckily I'm at a disneystore that does really good sales for the state. Although I'm not sure I should say where as I still work there and Iger might be watching :lookaroun
