I may be the only one in the entire planet but..... I don't know If I like Holiday decorations in the parks.

Now before you spill you soda's on the keyboard...... its just my opinion.

Not bashing Disney and I do think it is a good move to showcase the Holidays but for some reason....it takes away from being at Disney for me..

When I think of Halloween or Xmas...I think about being at home with family. When I go to Disney the last place I want to think about is home.

I don't mind a few decorations as you come in but I just cant get into the Halloween stuff all over.....AND I LOVE THE HOLIDAYS... especially Halloween.

I can understand what you mean. it brings an entire different atmosphere to WDW. Maybe if they didnt leave them up for so long it would be better. But then I guess less of the people who wanted to see them would get a chance to.

I can understand where your going with this...And as to why we never see CBJ Vacation/Christmas Hoedown, Haunted Mansion Holiday and Small world christmas is not done at MK.

I agree as well - we are leaving in just a few days and we went this same time last year so two years in a row we will be there with all of the halloween decorations. This is the only time we could go.

Don't get me wrong - they do an awesome job and as all other things Disney it is beyond expectations but we're not big Halloween fans.

We are looking forward to a year when we can go when it's just Disney and no holiday decorations.

Halloween or not - we are so excited to be so close to our trip and can't wait for our days and nights at WDW.

One year I went to WDW at Christmas time and I was upset because all the parks played standard Christmas tunes over the hidden speakers throughout the park. I was so dissapointed because I Love the area walk-around Disney music that is played the rest of the year. Who wants to hear Rudolph the Red Nose Rain Deer in Animal Kindom or Future World? I don't. Don't get me wrong...I Like Christmas music, but being from Northern Illinois, when I go to Disney World in the middle of winter, I want warm weather and warm music. Not cold winter music like Let it Snow Let it Snow Let it Snow.

I will step up and admit that I'd rather go to WDW during any non-holiday season than during Halloween or Christmas. I've been once during Halloween, and twice while it was still Christmas (first week in Jan).

I LOVE the Christmas season in real life, but when I go to Disney World, I want it to be "normal time" all the time. They definitely do a fantastic job of decorating the parks and theming everything, but it almost ruins it for me.

My first Christmas visit began on Jan 2 a few years ago. We walked into the MK (not sure which day) and there was literally NO music playing on Main Street. It was off all day. Very strange. Then when it was on the next day it was still Christmas music. I told my wife that I wanted Main Street music back! Fortunately, they transform the parks back to normal during that week, so by the end of our stay it was Disney World again.

Osborne Lights is just about the only thing that I look forward to seeing when we do go that week.

I agree.... I love Xmas and Hallowee. I go all out on each holiday and decorate.

But..... when I go to Disney.. I like it to be a place that does not exist in real life and plays the Main Street music all the time.

This may sound cheesy but Disney is a special place that does not need hoopla of Holidays to make it a great place to go.

I went to Epcot 4 years back before moving to Indy around Xmas.... kept thinking of having to buy Xmas gifts and when are we going to start to decorate....... you get my drift.

I agree. I was very excited to see WDW all dolled up for Christmas last year and was severely disappointed. Mostly because of the music. And this is coming from a Christmas nut (I put my tree up as early as possible!) but... no Innoventions loop?! Really?? Ugh. And it's not like they even tried to play different music in different places, it is all the same.
And the decorations were sorta lame, in my opinion. Nothing to get excited about.

I just went last week during Halloween and I liked it a lot more, but it was a bit more subtle. Probably because they didn't change the music  The Halloween party was more fun than the Christmas party, though I wasn't impressed with Hallowishes...

Wow...just Wow....i mean WDW during Christmas is majestic and amazing....Cinderella's castle looks the best when it has the Christmas lights on it....

Yes, Cindy's Castle does indeed look amazing when the dream lights are on. I just wish I could snap my fingers to see them, then snap them again and be back in "real" MK. Christmas music on MSUSA just doesn't put me in the right place.

I thought I would feel the same way before I ever went to WDW during christmas. I remember being at home and watching I think a Samantha Brown special about the holidays at WDW and thinking that I wouldn't want to see decorations at WDW just because it wasn't what I was used to seeing in the summer when I went. It just so happened that when I first went to WDW during christmas time in 2003, it changed my mind completely. Just like going to the mall during December(nowadays as early as October) and you expect to see christmas stuff. It was no different in WDW.

The music is the most annoying aspect for me as the is no difference between the loops played in front of MK, on Main Street and around WS and the loop is very short which results in you hearing the same versions of the same songs several times.

Plus Christmas 10 days into January is overkill for me, especially when the countdown till Christmas sign on MS shows 350 some-odd days left. :dazzle:

I recognize a lot of people like the decorations, so I tolerate them with little complaining. I'd prefer they handle the various holidays differently (leave the decorations up for far shorter amounts of time and tone down the music).

I actually prefer Disney at Christmas, and probably Halloween if I can ever go, than I do other times of the year. I also really like Christmas music, so no complaints there either.
