After reading about the menu disaster at Ohana's, I cancelled my PS there for my dec trip :(

Any idea where to try now? I was thining the Wispering Canyon Cafe? It seems nearby and could have some good ambience?

I dont know if that type of a meal (Ala Carte) would be the ones that i Am thinking of. I was referring more to a buffet/ all you care to eat type of meals as cutting out some of the more costly items and substituting lower end items. So in theory they are still giving you a choice of foods, just not as good on quality or variety perhaps? Belle

I was just looking thru the Menu section on allerasnet... I noticed a few have been updated. We haven't eaten in that wide a variety of restaurants for me to know if the changes were big or not.

I just tried getting WCC for Oct. 2, and didn't get the time I wanted. They only had 2 late times. So, I got Cape May Cafe` instead. Hopefully, the family will like it. :drevil:

I loved Cape May. The seafood selection was very good. They had great chicken too. :slurp:

It was funny seeing the tall college guys picking mac 'n cheese and chicken fingers off the kids buffet.

Make sure you save room for dessert!

If you are refering to Ohana, I did not know they removed the more costly items. The shrimp are staying all you can eat and the bread pudding has been on the menu for $4.99 as an option. Also the changed from rice to potatoes. I guess just don't get all the fuss about these miniscule changes. Also just recently the Garden Grill changed their menu back to the former, which is a much less expesive menu to prepare than the one instituted when they reopened. Now some of the same people that complained about the new improved menu at the Garden Grill are complaining about Ohana. Try it first! See if you like it! Then if does not appeal to you let them know!

I also would say do not cancel any AR's for Ohana. There are minimal changes and some new items being added. Ohana still means family so go for the ambiance and the warm family feel.

I second everything PhilharMagician said. Don't just say "I'm never going there again" until you've tried it. I'm planning a trip for next year and still plan on eating at O'Hana's despite the menu changes which I will pass judgement on AFTER I've eaten there.
