After seeing Disneylands Mickey's Mix Magic as well as only fireworks twice a week, it makes me realise how lucky we are to Have Happily Every after at the Magic Kingdom. Im pretty happy we have this show with the way things are. Ill never wine about Wishes again. Id like to see a Light parade along with Happily Ever after but the fact that they didnt botch this show up ill settle.

We can all agree that Disneyland’s nighttime show situation SUCKS right now between the crap in DL and World of Color STILL closed. WDW has long excelled in the fireworks arena. I expect that will continue.

WoC did go for an unscheduled swim. But I agree, sadly I’ll have no interest in seeing the current fireworks.

It’d be great if we never loose a nightly fireworks show in the MK but I hope the next version is a little less brash and a little more refined.

Agreed I really enjoy Happily ever after... I hope that whatever replaces illuminations is good, I will this that!

On a different note Disney Illuminations at Disneyland Paris is also excellent!

HEA - - - Was nice but we really loved Wishes - - - - So much heart and emotion - - We still tear up from the music.
I want a friggin night time parade at the MK - - - - - - - its so lame without one.
A really greasy penny pinching move!!!!!!

Which should be 2021? Yes?

I personally do not like HEA and hope it gets completely replaced. Magic Music and Mayhem was ten times better! I much rather have a show like Celebrate Tokyo Disneyland or Remember Dreams Come True that’s all about the park attractions and maybe past entertainment. That would be really awesome for the 50th Anniversary.

Agreed. However, when I heard they were integrating projection and lengthening the show, I was deeply fearful that it would become basically what DL has. I was pleasantly surprised that someone in charge understands the MK show should be fireworks-forward.

DL still wins the Fantasmic olympics. It annoys me how often Disneyland pulls parades or nighttime shows for months on end, however. They just run things differently. The only way to guarantee that you get the “full Disneyland experience” is to visit in the summer.

I love Happily Ever After, it is a different show depending on where you watch (in hub, near train depot, behind castle, or across the Seven Seas). I find it much more moving than Wishes especially if you have a good view of the projections.

I hated Wishes when I realized they repeat the word "Wishes" 47 times in the performance and 21 (or 22) times on the post show song.
I mean, get a Thesaurus!! (sorry (not sorry) if I just broke the glass ceiling with that.)

I never liked having vocals thruout the show, besides that it’s good but you are right about it not being as refined. I still think this is a between show but after Mickeys mix Magick I’m afraid of any announcements of any upcoming show. As for Workd of Color they better get a light parade or something or their night attendance is going to flop along with World of Color.

Anyone remember the pirate and princess fireworks show they did for the parties and for the 1 summer? That was probably my favorite non-holiday mk show that I wish had stuck around longer.

I like HEA, it has some great moments, but I much prefer the “feel” of wishes. The ending of hea with tinkerbell during “you can fly” is absolute perfection though, if all of hea was as good as that!
