I have some crazy ambitions

So, our trip is finally almost here in just 30 Days!!! As you can imagine, I am so unbelievably excited. We just paid off our final deposit and I made a trip to the Disney Store today to buy some gift cards for souvenirs.
However, there's something I've been planning on doing for a while now but it seems I might need a little assistance from you all to make it happen!
Our last trip to Disney was three years ago for my Sweet 16, and when we went, my parents were absolutely amazing and incredibly sneaky and managed to keep the surprise birthday celebration in our hotel room a secret from me until I actually walked into our room to see it. Now we're finally going back and I'd like to do something to thank my mom especially, because convincing her to go on this trip over a year ago was extremely difficult, but now she's actually showing a lot of excitement towards going and has joined in on the countdown with me.
There's only a slight issue with my idea of surprising her. I went on the Disney Florists website to see what went into the pricing and planning to do an in room birthday celebration or even just order a nice bouquet for her in the room. It's a lot of money, and I'd like to pay for any costs myself, as my parents already have invested WAY too much money into this trip, lol! I also looked into a spa package and those are also a little out of budget for myself.
So being the practically broke teenager I am, I was hoping you guys would be able to give me some ideas on how I can thank my mom or possibly surprise her while we're in Disney World! I already have all of our dining reservations set, but if you have any other ideas it would be much appreciated! Thank you :D

not sure of your budget... do you guys have an "off day" or disney springs night planned with open time?... I love taking the boat ride to port orleans resort from DS and doing the horse and carriage ride and believe it or not its not a bad price $45 for about a half hour... very relaxing, very beautiful :)

That's an awesome idea! Disney can be outrageous for "special events", so why not plan something simple that you can do together? You could go share a kitchen sink together, buy matching t shirts to wear one day and take fun photos, or you could go to get your nails done before your trip and get something Disney inspired.

More specialty based options could be ordering a cake to be delivered for dessert at a reservation, secretly booking a reservation she's been wanting and pay for dinner for the two of you, or dine with an imagineer (although, VERY pricey and hard to get).

Keep in mind that parents sometime like surprises that they get to spend time with you! Any activity that has you involved, they will LOVE. Keep us informed on what you decide!

As a Mom of young adults I like these ideas. High end would almost make me feel uncomfortable but these ideas are just perfect.

"You could go share a kitchen sink together, buy matching t shirts to wear one day and take fun photos, or you could go to get your nails done before your trip and get something Disney inspired." The Kitchen Sink type of smaller special surprise is a special treat without breaking the bank. Not long ago my kids got me a special Mug I genuinely loved but never purchased. I get a warm and fuzzy everytime I pour my coffee in it first thing in the morning. It is sometimes the littler things that mean the most.

These are great ideas! I really like the matching T-shirt ideas because then you'll have them afterwards to remember the trip by. Along the same lines, if your mom likes Vera Bradley, you could get her one of the cute Disney-print purses (eBay offers excellent steals on the bags for way less than in parks or disneystore.com do and you have enough time to get it before you leave). You're such a thoughtful daughter that just spending time with your mom and telling her how much it means to you to have her with you on the trip will be enough to melt any mama's heart (at least it would melt mine) :)

We were actually planning on going to DS our first day which works out perfectly! I think that sounds like a lovely idea especially right before the hectic-ness of our vacation sounds! If we have time that day I'm definitely going to try to see if we can do that. Thank you!

Thank you so much! Yes, I absolutely agree with that lol. Wow, that sounds like a great idea. I'm sure she'd love to go for mani/pedis together! Especially because I have the day before our trip off from school :D

Thank you, and I absolutely will! I'm sure she'll love anything I do for her, I just want to make sure she realizes how grateful I am for everything she's done for me!

I agree, I really loved those ideas and they won't break the bank! Unfortunately I am lactose intolerant and can't do ice cream but my mom loves lobster so I was thinking maybe we could share a nice lobster at one of the restaurants we go to!

Thank you so much for the ideas! I was actually just looking around yesterday for matching tee-shirts! She's a huge Tink fan, so I'm sure I'll find something great somewhere. Awh, thank you so much :) I really appreciate you saying that! My mom and I are extremely close and this will be on of our last special experiences together before i leave for college!
