This morning while visiting my local K-rogers :animwink: , I was perusing the cold food section when what do I spot but Mickey Mouse shaped hamburger patties! I was this >< close to buying a box, but decided to wait. These probably have been around for awhile, maybe/maybe not? But, now, I think I have seen it all! :D

In my Sunday paper this past weekend there was a grocery store flyer that contained a half page ad for Disney's Magical (or Magic) Selections.. I remember seeing some snacks like string cheese advertised. Looks like there's a whole food line coming.

I noticed some frozen Mickey ice cream treats last time I was at the grocery store. They're not Mickey Premiums, but attractive enough. I remember wondering how I had missed them before.

So these are a new thing, huh?

I'm not sure if it's funnier that they have mickey-ear burgers or that I didn't know what "kroger" was until I looked it up. Clearly, they don't exist around Tampa. (Ironic I believe!)

I've seen the Disney ice cream and even the Disney snack cakes & frozen fish (with Ariel on the box no less), but I haven't seen any Mickey burgers.

The Disney ice cream has been around for over a year now. We can get them in our local Super Walmart.

Wow, I didn't know Krogers were still around. All of ours closed about 20 years ago...shows how regional we are. We have the mickey ice cream/ cookies/ candy at Schnucks but I haven't looked for fish sticks or hamburger...would be a fun "kick off meal" though.

Ha, ha! That's okay, our first time in Florida, I didn't know what a Publix was:p

Last year my DH visited his sister for a week. He kept telling me about this blueberry cereal he had when he was there. I went on this massive search for this cereal (shows how much I love him  ) I found a generic version of it while we were visiting our parents (unfortunetly that is about 5 hours from here so we had to stock up).....well today a package arrived from his sister with the cereal inside. When I opened it up it is called Blueberry Monster Crunch and has Mike, Sulley and Boo on the front. It immediately made me think of this thread.....I guess that shows that I spend entirely to much time here :lookaroun

Seems like a great way to get kids to eat healthier foods (minus the ice cream and snack cakes). I've seen Ariel on a Kellogg's Corn Flakes box...what's that about? What does Ariel have to do with Corn Flakes???

Kids will eat anything with characters on it.
I saw a special a few weeks ago on TV where they put stickers of cartoon characters all over this rock, and then had a banana next to the rock. Then, the interviewer asked random kids (probably around 3 or 4 years old) which they would rather have for breakfast. ALL of the kids chose the rock.
Then, the interviewer restated that what they picked they would be eating for breakfast. She asked them if they would eat the rock for breakfast. They all stuck with the rock b/c of the characters all over it!!!

I think in our grocery store the Disney ice cream has literally been around for a year or more and it is freezer burnt. I want to buy some for my family, including the Disney frozen food items like chicken nuggets and fish, but I really think they have been sitting around in their freezer for over a year. It is sad, too, because the Disney decorated boxes are really cute and very enticing to the little one, but they don't seem fresh. Look how many people here did not even know about the stuff, so they probably are old at my grocery store.:lookaroun
