We were evac'ed from Splash a few years back right before the big drop. We sat for about an hour till finally a maintance man and a CM evac'ed from our log and escorted us thru an emergency exit. It was pretty cool b/c we got to see the back stage area of splash and were taken thru an area for CM's only. It was pretty funny, we were told we were not allowed to take pictures. Once back to civilization we were given FP's to all the mountians!!!!

Please explain.

I doubt it would stand up in court.
yep, private property.... of wait, see below. :D

Actually they can. Disney is on private property and they have specific rules just like any other place. They cannot force you to delete your pictures but they can ask. Disney is just trying to preserve the magic.:D Would you want some stranger coming to your house and taking pictures of your daughter or sons room without your permission. Maybe you have a cluttered closet like I have and wouldn't want someone to take a picture of and post it.

There is an epic vid on YouTube of a Family stuck in the 1920's forever:lol:
That is Rob Alvey. I have seen that before when they posted on their site. It was a bit like that. I saw the first scene 5 times i think.

Needless to say, my friend was truly a broken in newbie

In regards to photos on Disney.

The general law for phtoography and journalism is "If you can see it, you can shoot it". This covers disney extensively however Disney has a major loophole gain over this law that most people don't know about.

You CAN photograph anything on private propery, even with signs and guards that say "No photographs" AS LONG AS YOU ARE STANDING ON PUBLIC SOIL!

However, since while on disney property you are on DISNEY's Privately owned soil, you can legally be asked to remove a photo of Cinderellas castle and you must comply, or face legal troubles and possible arrest.

Not that that will ever happen, but its just a kick in the ______ scenario to put the point through.

~Photographer of 12 years, that has gotten in and out of major trouble to get the shot.

I was evac'ed from POTC in DL, in 1999. We were hung up at the very first drop. Not very exciting, that one.

Then, in 2006, we got stuck on ToT! The car stopped moving, and we were sitting in the pitch dark. We could hear Rod saying from below us, "A warm welcome back, for those of you who made it." All of us in the car were just looking around, using our cell phones for light, wondering WTH was going on.

We must have sat in the pitch black for what seemed like 5 minutes (probably not that long, but FELT like it!). We had a view of the little niche with the mannequins. Some of the smaller kids were starting to cry, and I just keep thinking of the Final Destination movies, lol. Finally, the announcement about the ride being halted, etc etc, then we were moved to a level where we could get off, and took the elavator down to the ride load. We were allowed to all get right back on another car if we wanted. It was explained that two of the riders in our car were coming up waaaay too far out of their seats, which they observed on camera, and they decided to shut it down for safety.

Made me feel better to know it was a planned thing, not a malfuntion, and that we were being watched throughout.

My only evac happened on Thunder Mountain back in 97 i think. We were almost at the top of the main hill and then we stopped and sat for 20 mins. Then the CMs came took us off and brought us underground which was awesome and to the exit.
