So I just got my email and paid my fees and chose my dates. All I know is that I will be working in Attractions and will be there during the Fall 2012 period. I report there August 29th and leave on January 4th. I figured this is the last time in my life that I can do something like this so I had to go for it and I got it. I only had to wait 1 week which seems crazy. I can't believe I will be in the world for Halloween and Christmas. I have never been during these times and have always wanted to go so it is just awesome. Also I will be down there during the marathon so hopefully my goal of running a Disney marathon will come true (can cast members run?). It will be nice to get a 4 month break away from NYC and get to work in a new environment. I know it is long hard hours but I am use to that kind of work.

Congrats!! Attractions is a lot of fun (I currently am working in attractions at DHS).

And yes, CMs can run in the races

If I am planning on running would it be beneficial for that to be one of the first dates I ask off for? The two I am thinking of running is the Tower of Terror and Food and Wine. Unfortunately the half marathon is a week after I end the program so I would have to pay to stay on site.

Congratulations!! You're about to embark on a journey that is going to be something that you could never imagine. My CP honestly changed my entire outlook on life. If you have any questions please feel free to PM me. I'd be more than happy to answer them for you! Congrats again!

The time will go by fast so enjoy it. Those 12-14 hour days will become a blink of an eye to you as you look back and you can always think, hey, I'm in freaking Disney World! Have fun and take lots of photos. Prepare your Facebook for an inundation of new friends, too!

Thanks. I'm so use to 12 to 14 hour days because I go to school and work now anyways. I agree the fact I'm a major Disney fan when I start to feel down about hours or tired I'll just remind myself about all the things I disliked on Disney trips and vow to never do those things so that someone else has a magical experience.

I don't think it would be a problem putting in time off for the marathons (just be aware the time off may not be guaranteed, as it depends on seniority). I think the marathons look like fun! Maybe someday I'll decide to run in one
