hey all,

on my continued browsing of the web i found this deal for a free IPOD. I looked into it and it is not a scam , they make money from the advertisers.

Basicly, all you do is click this link: IPOD LINK

Sign Up for a free account, then complete one of there offers, there is a bunch of free non credit card needed offers too, (i did the GM credit card which i will throw away once i get it), then refer some of your friends to do the same. After that; presto a free IPOD or IPOD mini

Try it out all,
Justin

hmm.. too much trouble for a free IPod.

I'll settle with my free BMW/Williams F1 poster from HP

be careful
if you're going to do this you dont just want to throw the card out...cancel the account. Credit is a funny thing, if you dont have enough its bad and if you have a lot its bad. lol just a teeny bit of advice :)

4. Being eligible to receive a free iPod
(a) Users must refer at least 5 friends to the site who must sign up, and correctly complete an offer from the site under the Terms listed above.
(b) Users must also complete at least one offer themselves.
(c) A user may not get credit for completing more than one offer. Their referrals must each do 1 offer, totaling 6 offers to be completed (1 by the customer, and 5 offers done by a minimum of 5 referrals).
(d) Referrals completing more than 1 offer will only count as 1.
(e) Users may refer more than 5 friends to try and maximize likelihood of getting credit and minimize the time it takes, but cannot receive credit for more than 1 iPod
Okay, here's what happens. First you sign up, then you have to get 5 referrals (people to sign up) Those 5 people have to get 5 referrals and so on.

In number terms, it's like this -
1 needs 5, 5 needs 25, 25 needs 125, 125 - 625, 625-3125, 3125, 15,625, 78125, 390625, 1953125, 9765625, 48828125, 244140625, 1220703125, 6103515625, 30517578125- then it runs out...
A pyramid. Don't do it ;)

Believe it or not I found the cure for cancer. And I can turn water into wine. Not to mention I actually found the pot gold at the end of the rainbow. Ask me how!

I think I'm going to pass on the free I-Pod. My MiniDisk player is a safer bet than that.

because it's a pyramid scheme...you think that they're just giving these away without making money somewhere?

This is spam..this thread needs to go away.

you guys are so cynical do a little research on something before you go ahead and trash it. I did some investigating, this company has a good rating with the better buisness beauru, further more i found countelss message board posts of people who actually got there IPOD, here is one example http://www.geocities.com/ghettopia/freeipod.htm

i just cant stand it when people just say stuff without looking into it further, people are so misgiving. and the company does make tons of money through its advertising revenues. i thought at least on this message board people were smart enough to give things a chance and act without running your mouths first, i guess i was mistaken (no offense to anyone though)

thanks, Justin

We're not just running our mouths. Even though this may have been legit, this still may not have been. I'm not about to get involved in a scheme where i have to sign up for anything that involves messing with my credit. You do realize that if you signed up for 5 credit cards, that looks pretty bad, right? They make out by hoping you'll use the card and rack up interest, and make money that way. The cost of the ipod is nothing to them.

If I want one I'll buy one. You have to remember that this is run like a pyramid scheme. Most pyramid schemes are illegal. Let me know when you get yours, and then I'll believe it.

Most of the time when something is too good to be true - it is.

Why should I trust a Geocities site?

I want the pink or flower patterned iPod!!!

There is no flower patterned iPod. There is, however, an old iMac that was called "flower power". iPod mini's are made in pink (as well as green, silver, blue, & gold).

Get a Dell. I have it and its the same price and it hold more songs than and Ipod or mini Ipod. Mine hold 9000 songs at 20000 gig.
It dosn't physically hold more songs, the Dell comes in 15 and 20 gig models. The compression you use depends on how many songs fit. Apple's is based on 128k AAC, but if you go all the way down to 64k AAC, you can fit twice as many songs. It's not a very good comparison. Also, I think you mean 20 gig, right?

i think he just meant to compare apples to apples - as in storage capacity, not song capacity (too many variables).

i bought a nomad zen last year to replace my archos. got 5GB more for my money vs. buying an ipod :)
