I can't wait..... I have to make a PTR...PTR!!

~edit~ WERE LEAVING TOMORROW!!! and there's still so much to do!! I still have some packing and have to take Clyde to the doggie sitter.

It's hard to believe that i started planning this trip just a year ago. The time really does go fast. Almost sad to see all the planning end but cant wait till 6am to start my Disney Vacation!!!

edit~When I originally posted this pre trip report it was probably to early but I was new to the site and sooo excited to find it. At the time I still had over 300 days to go. Well here we are less that 90 and still as excited as ever. Thanks for reading along.:joyfull:

I guess I'll start with my family...My DH and I have been married for 18 years and have 3 great kids. We have been to Disney 3 times and this will be our last trip as a family still under the same roof.

So here it goes, DH ( i get this sort of face in every pic but I love him anyway) and me

My DD will be 17 when we go the WDW

Other DD will be 14

And DS will be 10

We have just recently booked for the first week of December and will be staying at POFQ.

Only 315 days!!!!

OK...New updates!!!

Due to the Dining Plan we have decided to move our trip back two weeks to take advantage of the DP. I was able to get all the same ADR's with slightly different times but it all worked out good. Although we pushed back 2 weeks we have finally made it to double digits!!! 96 days till we pull out of the driveway!!

Another set back we had is our bills keep getting higher and are kids are getting more expensive but yet our income stays the same! How does this happen? Anyway we decided to get rid of our beloved Betty.. yes Betty is my mini van. She was a beaut. :( This was a sad event until I realized that I looked way cooler in my Malibu plus i was saving us $335.00 a month!!!! I have been driving a mini van for the past 16 years, just getting rid of it makes me feel 5 years younger. :D How will I get to Disney you ask? Well since flying is out due to the cost of 5 of us. My wonderful mother who happens to have the faternal twin of Betty says "you should take my van". I love my mother!!

These next few months should go super fast with all of the kids's school activities. Sooooo Excited!!! :D

Congrats on getting a new ride! And that's a HUGE savings!!! Awesome that your mom is able to lend you her van. I just can't let DH see this post...he's been on my case for the last 6-7 years to buy a minivan...even took me to the auto show last year and got me to admit that I kind of liked a couple of them. Yeah- I still got another SUV. I hear ya on the kids just getting more expensive while everything else stays the same. :greedy: Awesome that you were able to work out all of your ADRs with the change too. :)

Thank you! Any effort is greatly appreciated, even if it's just the pictures that is good enough for me.

I am so excited for you and your trip. I like the first 2 weeks of December, I have never gone later. It will be interesting to see if it's more crowded or not. Either way I'm sure you will have fun.

You have to try a mini van...before your girls get to big. They may make you feel like a soccer mom but they are great and ours had so much storage plus tv's and you could even down load your music into the sound system. Now that my kids are older though I didn't use it as much as I used to for what it was intended for other than our yearly vacation so it was a good move for us to sell it.

I'm very excited too! We've never been during Christmas time. We were hoping to go earlier in December but If they're going to offer free dining I'll pay a little more for my room to get free dining. I know there's a big controversey on this but FD wins for us!

As for posting when we get back I'll definatley do that. Although I've posted pics here in the past I couldn't get one on the other day. Either I'm losing my touch or they switched up the process on me.

Totally get what you mean about planning for your next trip even when it’s a year away, were from the UK so trips to the World have to be planned well in advance.
Our next visit is not till November 2014 & we are already in planning mode, can’t wait till we get to November 9th then we can officially say we have less than a year to go.
We are taking the in laws with us & MIL is beside herself with excitement, as they’ve only been once before & that was many years ago so when we asked them if they wanted to come with us they were over the moon.
We were originally planning a West Coast trip next year but Disney UK sent out an offer in May, which included free dining, $200 gift card, 14 day tickets for the price of 7 & various other bits & pieces for bookings made for 2014.
After much “Will We” / “Won’t We” & a lot of research into resorts we were all set for booking 2 rooms at the Yacht Club as we had stayed at the Swan last year & loved the area but then we got a quote for a 2 room villa at OKW & it was so much cheaper it made more sense to go for that.
You will love being there near to Christmas time, we went last November for the first time in years & the first time as a couple & we were blown away by how everywhere looked with the holiday decorations.
If you can manage to fit in one of the MVMCP’s, I’d recommend it, we did two last year & they were the highlights of our trip.
A lot of people on hear & on the Disboards really don’t like them but we were blown away by both of the ones that we attended, they are expensive but the MK is even more special than normal when the parties are on.
The Osborne lights at DHS are also a must see, we were a bit sceptical about what they would be like but they were amazing & well worth seeing.

@ABZDisneyFan It is hard to believe that we started planning a year ago! We are getting so excited and are listening to music and video's on youtube and pandora radio. I must say the past 250 days did go very fast. We have talked about doing the MVMCP but still haven't decided and may not make a decision until were there. We will definatley do the Osbourne lights though. Im so looking forward to that and the storytellers at Epcot!

It sounds like you got a great deal! I don't blame you for changing your plans :D I would have done the same.

Oh I would love to do that too! I just hope it works out. This will be our 4th visit and we still haven't done everything yet. Someone by the name Edward Olmos is the speaker. Never heard of him but would still like to see the Processional.

There are so many threads on this subject so instead of starting a new one I just thought that I would post in my PTR that...
We're Paid In Full!!!!

PLUS ONLY 64 DAYS TO GO!!!
Congratulations...trip will be here before you know it. While not Disney World, we are going to Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort in December and are counting the days until then. Be sure to see some of the resort Christmas decorations while at WDW if you have time.
Oh, not having kids, I have never, ever driven a mini van, but if they are roomy and comfortable then that is the way to go. Nice of your mom to let you use hers.

Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
I'm an SUV gal, I love the way they handle in the snow. Oy, snow. I've rented so many mini vans, extended to move my kids in and out of college. They are comfy, they hold so much more than my SUV, go figure cause mine isn't small. Mini's drive more like a car than a SUV. They also give a bit more freedom of personal space when road tripping it. But I will stick to the SUV and rent the Mini when the need rises.

And Boy that middle child has stunning eyes. And yay for free dining.

Yes my mom is the best!! :) I read your report and I must say I'm excited for the time that my DH and I can go to Disney and just relax and go at our pace. I loved your report!

I must say I really really missed my van at first but now I'm glad we sold it...it was time. I feel young again!! :D Thanks for the compliment on daughter. I'd love to say she gets her eyes from me but they're her dads eyes. As goofy as he is.

Congrats!
Thanks!!!! So Stoked!!

Thank you for reading my TR. I think I surprised you with that breakfast in the room pic...next time, lunch!
That was funny! I fully expect to see a lunch pic and hear all about Hilton Head. I 've heard nothing about it and would like to hear what your opinion is.
