I was at wdw this past Wednesday-Saturday and had a great time, of course. The only challenge was trying to get a snack or drink 1-2 hours before the parks close. On Friday, MK closed at 12 and EMH til 3am. After 10 pm everything started to shut down. You could buy a glowing anything every 10 feet but try to get a bottle of water or a pretzel. It actually got rather frustrating because it was so hot. We kept on joking about how you are not allowed to get hungry or thirsty after 10 pm in WDW.

Interesting... usually Caseys is open late but all the other places close early. There is a store outside the gates as well. I share your sentiments though, i get hungry and thirsty late at night.

Not old, just vintage.
I've encountered this many times before since we regularly stay for EMH. Once the rolling carts pack up it is definitely difficult to find something to drink or get a snack. The only options left are the far and few between quick service locations that remain open...and are usually very busy since other options are scarce. I've learned to buy a bottle of water before the carts start to shut down and then just refill it from a water fountain if I am dying of thirst.

disney really needs to think about how it handles this...

they really try to drive their consumers into a nice tight little hole sometimes...ie PI.

some people would welcome other options......

i know, putting PI into this is asking for trouble, but anyone else feel like a sheep being herded sometimes?

I hear your pain - when I was visiting last fall I wandered around MK for like a half hour during the last half of EMH trying to find a plain soft pretzel, all they had were the cream cheese ones. Finding snacks late at night can definitely be tough.

Happened to us a few years ago, and the only place open was Cosmic Ray's. And the only thing we could get that late was soda. It was WAY too hot for sodas, but we drank them anyway. And, it made us sick.

Since then, we've carried water bottles with us and filled them at the water fountains. It's not a great alternative, but at least it's an option.
