I just got back form 4 days at WDW. (9/26 - 9/29)

During this time, I used my DDE (OK, Tables in Wonderland) card four times.

San Angel Inn
Garden Grill
Brown Derby
Tusker House

Tusker House was lunch on my last day there. As I was putting my card back into my wallet, I thought to myself "when do I have to renew this thing" I looked at the card, and lo and behold the expiration date was 7/31. The thing has been expired for almost 2 months, and I got discounts with no problem at not one, but FOUR different places.

It was totally innocent, I had no idea it was expired, and I will not be trying to do this again, I will be renewing my card. Neither do I advocate anyone else trying this, however it makes me wonder how closely they look at the cards.

Honestly, I doubt that they do pay close attention as to when they expire.

They don't get swiped or anything... just a button pressed. So, no... they probably don't pay that much attention!

LOL wow - I was wondering about that. They never seem to do more than glance at my card. They have NEVER checked ID which they are supposed to do every time.

But, why would they? That DDE card gives them an auto 18% gratuity even if they were terrible.

I'm... not sure... for future use in case they want to do something I would guess...

But the temp card that they give you is just a piece of paper... you can't swipe that.

Just goes to show how easy it is to bend the rules made by Disney - or is it just staff that dont care ??
