I-75 and rest areas

Hi,
I noticed that a rest area in MI had a playground built and I thought that was a great idea when traveling.
We will be driving down this year on I-75, from Ontario and I am wondering if there are more of these rest areas with playgrounds along the way?
Has anyone else seen them, I am assuming each state is different.

Thanks

We live in Illinois, and we catch I-75 at Chattanooga, TN. From there to the Florida Turnpike, I don't recall any rest areas with a playground. We have a 6 year old and a 3 year old, so I'm sure that if there was one with a playground, we would have let them play on it for a little bit, but I just don't remember seeing one on our stretch of I-75. But there are two rest stops within an hour or so of each other in Southern Georgia, so perhaps there is a playground at the one that we didn't stop at.

thanks, I tried google with no luck so far. I'll see what I can find, I think these would be great for young kids stuck in the car for hours to run around for a bit.

Do you have a portable dvd player? We found ours worth every penny! Watching Disney movies on the way down really gets them in the mood!

Absolutely, but driving from Canada so there is only so much he can watch and then he wants to move around a bit. We have usually stopped in a big box store area where we can all stretch our legs.

Hand held video games have also helped and the threat of if you bother the driver we're turning around and going home!! Good luck I travel with 2 now older kids it gets better!

I don't remember any rest areas with a playground built in between Chattanooga, TN and Lexington, KY. I travel that route frequently, as I live in TN right off I 75. Something cool to stop at and stretch your legs is a few miles off exit 52 in Tennessee. It's the Mayfield Visitor Center. You can tour the Mayfield Factory where they make milk and ice cream. You can also get cheap ice cream cones at the store and the end of the tour. It's a good way to get out, grab a snack and stretch. The tour is free. If you need specific directions, just PM me and I'll help all I can. Also, just off exit 68 in TN is the Sweetwater Valley Cheese Farm. You can tour the factory there as well. Both would make excellent stops.
