Still on track for Orlando area looks like it may still be a M storm on landfall Wednesday night
But they won't, because "Disney is the best place to be in a hurricane!"People who are in WDW right now should really try to leave.
This.People who are in WDW right now should really try to leave.
How come?
But they won't, because "Disney is the best place to be in a hurricane!"
This.
WDW could be heavily impacted by this storm. In ways we have never seen before
How can the skeletal staff at Disney keep the thousands of guests safe ? A huge percentage of the hotel rooms have exterior front door entrances right into the eye of the storm.This.

They really don’t though. It’s been a while since we’ve seen a storm forecast to become a major hurricane, then track directly over WDW while maintaining hurricane strength. People on vacation should be leaving now.Yeah but it’s also because everyone says this every time:
There are numerous posts on Facebook right now that are driving me crazy. There are people driving down right now knowing this is going to hit.People who are in WDW right now should really try to leave.

If theme parks sustain building damage and flooding into the interior buildings there is no way the parks can open anytime soon after Milton. They really don’t though. When MCO closes , no more rental cars available and gas stations run out of gas , then hunker down andWere on the east coast and in just as much trouble, there is not a known direction to evacuate to yet. Should know more in the next day or so once that track and cone tightens, there is most definitely going to be shifts. But yeah anyone in WDW really needs to go home and anyone coming cancel.
Unlikely they would evacuate the Orlando area since it’s inland, however that still doesn’t mean you should be there if you don’t have to be. This is not going to be a pleasant experience for those on vacation with a possibly large logistics mess for some time afterwards and difficulty getting home. We’re on the east coast and in just as much trouble, there is not a known direction to evacuate to yet. What?Yeah but it’s also because everyone says this every time:
Difficulty getting home when gas pumps are out of gas and if they even have any can’t pump when there are power outages , calling 911 and no one will come because of winds and storm . I’d be getting out today and not tomorrow.Unlikely they would evacuate the Orlando area since it’s inland, however that still doesn’t mean you should be there if you don’t have to be. Correct. People vacationing at WDW right now should make plans to leave. How can the skeletal staff at Disney keep the thousands of guests safe ? A huge percentage of the hotel rooms have exterior front door entrances right into the eye of the storm.
When Houston evacuated years ago pre hurricane the road out and thousands of drivers were in traffic several hours and a number of cars ran out of gas while idling on the interstate.Unlikely they would evacuate the Orlando area since it’s inland, however that still doesn’t mean you should be there if you don’t have to be. This is not going to be a pleasant experience for those on vacation with a possibly large logistics mess for some time afterwards and difficulty getting home.
Also be prepared for Disney to be serving everyone turkey sandwiches and almost everything else to be closed, with possible power outages and no air conditioning, potentially for a while. Again, people who are there now who are on vacation should leave, it’s not going to be fun. If it’s really bad you could end up sleeping on the floor in the hotel lobby.Difficulty getting home when gas pumps are out of gas and if they even have any can’t pump when there are power outages , calling 911 and no one will come because of winds and storm .
