Yes, I saw the show in March 2002 in Berlin. It was AMAZING! I did post a thread about it back then but I can't find it now. The show closed this past summer :( but I talked to the conductor and he said that within 5 years or so we should expect to see this version of Hunchback in the States on Broadway. I don't speak German and yet I completely enjoyed the show and still listen to the German soundtrack every now and then. The stage version is different in several ways (added scenes, some major plot changes, etc.) but it is truly an amazing show.

Thanks, Rob. The times I actually knew - I just didn't know which days the show would be held on. I called Disney and they gave me the answer. My sister and I actually made a trip down from Pennsylvania the Sunday before it closed and got to see it about 6 or 7 times. No doubt about it - we're going to miss it. It actually was one of our main reasons for going to MGM - I don't have a strong desire to go there now.

I'm not sure exactly where this was said on the DVD, but in some of the commentaries/extras on the Beauty and the Beast DVD it said that there were something like 5 projects in development for Broadway/stage productions.

That's great - I think Broadway audiences will really enjoy Hunchback. It was tremendous and possibly the best musical I have ever seen onstage (with the exception of The Producers... apples and oranges...). :)
