Humphrey the Bear in Fantasyland?

While it would be neat to see a Pete meet and greet, I don't think today's kids will be lining up for that.

There's a lot of potential in the Storybook Circusland . . . quite a big name for land that has two rides, one of them an off the shelf roller coaster. I was hoping for more of a "show aspect", and Pete's Silly Side Show and Humphrey (I know who he is!), looked interesting.

I think that the budget got cut, which almost happened with Carsland had Lasseter not stepped in. Dumbo's queue is not what was advertised, in my opinion, and I see mostly shops, double Dumbo, and the Barnstormer dressed up, into what is still a barebones ride. If there was an E-Ticket then you could justifiably call it its own land, but I think the name and theming is just so castmembers can more easily direct people around Fantasyland, which has become larger in area, but perhaps will have only one new quality ride, the Seven Dwarfs Coaster.

Is little mermaid a fair replacement for Snow White's Scary Adventures? Not if it is what the built in DCA which is horribly inconsistent, jumbled, and some scenes look like they literally ran out of money while building it.

I think you'd be wrong. My 4 year old absolutely love Pete and young folks are very familiar with him -- Pete is a common fixture on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I think he was on House of Mouse a good bit as well. Clarabelle and Ludwig Von Drake are on Micky Mouse Clubhouse a lot as well. I think Pete would go over very well as a meetable character in that tent and would be greatly disappointed if he is not there.

I agree with doctornick. Pete is also a prominent character in the Kingdom Hearts series of video games, as well as Epic Mickey, so I see no reason as to why he shouldn't be in the parks. I would love to have a chance to meet him!

Just stopping in to link to my favorite Humphrey cartoon, maybe my favorite Disney short of the 1950s:

A food location would be ideal for Humphrey!

I was just going to say this. My 2 year old niece loves pete, because he is on mickey mouse clubhouse. And because of mickey mouse clubhouse, the kids are now getting acquainted with those classic disney characters. Now would be the perfect opportunity to have these characters return to shorts before movies.

Being a big DD fan I remembered Humprey from my old treasures dvds...but more recently over the years we always have to take photos with and hug Humphrey at the WL....Huge wooden carved statue on the club level and isn't he in totem pole in lobby? Nice fit for WL. I had not noticed him in that photo before. Also really excited about Pete still getting his due....reading the just released Floyd Gottfredson Mickey Mouse #3 serial comic book release(it's awesome...btw) and Pete is giving Mickey a challenge in about every story. Now if they could just get that founder of Duckburg statue of Cornelius Coot somewhere about....that would be great!!!

Just found a good over the wall picture of the yellow tent, and from this shot it's even clearer that there is no door between the two areas, unless they are going to cut it out later.

Thank you! I knew I wasn't imagining things! There'd be no reason to cut out a doorway when they're using block construction.

I'm VERY curious what the big area in the back will be used for and slightly skeptical that this will be food service (even though I've always thought that was a given). I could see this being a snack location, but even those have back rooms.

It wasn't block construction, it was poured concrete, but I still think they would have framed out a door to start with. Maybe someone with experience in this type of construction could chime in.

Yeah, I would think almost any food location would have some sort of back room, so maybe this is going to be games and not food. Either way I would think the back room would be some sort of storage or utility space.

Good to hear he might actually be utilized for something. I'm a huge Humphrey fan (see who's listed under "favorite character" under my profile :D) so the very possibility that he may appear in the parks in some way is encouraging. Maybe we'll with luck, there'll be some merchandise.

that's one weird little building... is it possible that the yellow tent is just going to be the queue for the red tent? Because I don't see them being able to fit much inside it, and it is similar to the Dumbo queue tent with A/C ect... on the back of it

Maybe it will be just a big room with 3 or 4 push cart food location? One with popcorn, one with candy apple, and one with cotton candy maybe?

I haven't been to "One Man's Dream" but found this photo of the a map for the FLE, the yellow tent is the only thing unlabeled on there, but the small park between "Pete's Side Show" and "Casey Jr." looks like it has lots of little food carts around it, but it can't read the print in this photo

We discussed this map in another thread and it's one of the reasons we believe the yellow tent is food service. Each item on the map seems to be consistently color coded, and the yellow tent is the same color as A an C which are the Be Our Guest Restaurant and Gaston's Tavern, both food service locations.
