A couple of years back on late night tv I watched a tv show with Hulk Hogan who played either a Navy Seal or some kind of commando with this super hyped up speed boat (kinda James Bondish). The show didnt even last a full season but it turns out it was all filmed on disney property. The boat scenes were filmed in Bay lake and other water ways around Disney. One episode he was fighting Arabs and you could tell it was Morroco pavilion at EPCOT.Anybody else see this show a couple years back?

It had no appeal for normal people. However, for all those "wrassling" fans it was heaven on earth. Also, back in 1993 and part of 1994, the missile launch system in Cinderella's Castle was undergoing a major rehab. So, WDW used Thunder during that period in case an ICBM launch was required.

I loved watching it for the scenery and not the cheesy dialogue. I remember doing the backstage tour at MGM in 1994 and getting to see where it was filmed. They had a large watertank back there to do the underwater scenes.

So am I to derive that in your opinion "wrassling" fans are not normal? Furthermore, if you are going to use the "redneck" form of the word, its "wrasslin" not "wrassling".

If you are going to try to be cute.....do your homework first.

Oh-my-gosh Thunder in Paradise was great it was so cheesy that I couldn’t stop watching it. The main characters were “Bew” and “Spence” (one was Hulk Hogan and the other was played by Jack Lemmon’s son) and they owned a hotel (played by the Grand Floridian) but they also had a top secret boat (that somehow had three floors). They one time had a fight sequence on the Indiana Jones stunt stage and had to climb Big Thunder Mountain to stop some bad guy. One time the bad guys had built a super laser that really was the rotunda in the Team Disney building; it was more fun to watch that show to see Disney World than anything on the Disney channel.

They used the MGM underwater tank as well as the Living Seas tank.

It must have taken a lot of effort to do shots without Disney merchandise in the background.

Now that you mention it I could have sworn I saw a terrorist wearing a Figment t-shirt on.

LMAO

Oh man, I remember this show somewhat. I seem to remember an episode where Hulk Hogan was fighting terrorists at TL. I think right on top of the giant wall that seperates the wave machine from the wave pool but im not sure. I have a tape of the old show WDW Inside-Out, its the VERY first episode with Scott Harriett or something like that, anyways, he went behind the scenes of Thunder in Paradise and spent the day with Hulk Hogan. He talked about the show and stuff and they showed them filming it and all. Kinda neat, I will have to find the tape.

Next time I'll go next door and ask Mike Foley to bring Socko over so he can proof read my post.

Mick Foley, not Mike, Mick. :)
His real (legal) name is Michael Foley. "Mick" is just one of his many "gimmick" names that he has used over the years. Do ya' get it!

Have a Nice Day!

Side note about Thunder in Paradise, they partially melted one of the clear walls in the Living Seas with a stage light. If I remember correctly it is visable from the VIP lounge.
