We took a walk through Sandy Hook and up to the school last night. Hundreds of people stand silently, some still sobbing, many praying. Candles, stuffed animals and flowers are everywhere, 3 to 4 feet deep in some spots and they came from all over the world. Access to the school is blocked, but the road leading to the entrance is lined with Christmas trees decorated with ornaments and memorials from visitors. It all still doesn't seem real until the funeral processions go past 2 or 3 times a day. The whole scene is so sobering that we barely conversed for the rest of the evening.
The people here are very greatful for the prayers and memorials from around the country. Please keep them in your prayers.
