HS Rope Drop

We always get FPs to TSMM at rope drop. But at Epcot's rope drop, we ride Soarin' first (no wait) and then get FPs to ride it again. We have never done that with TSMM. Does anyone ride TSMM first and get FPs right after? I know that the FPs go quick. Does the stand by line fill up quick at rope drop or would we have a minimal wait?

We usually get FPs first and then ride. I think getting the FPs before or after riding would work though. Getting the FP after riding would just push your return time back a little.

Correct, my son and I grabbed FP's for all four of us while the Mrs. and daughter rode ToT and RnRC. We then jumped into the standby line and we were on the ride in less than 10 minutes.

We usually hand over our passes to the scaredy cats in the group after getting in DHS and have them get TSMM FPs. Meanwhile the rest of us head for ToT and RnRC when the rope drops.

Speaking of HS rope drop. We are goin in November and here is our dilemma. Early morning hours at 8am. We have an ADR for Hollywood n vine for the kids at 8am. I know we will be ble to get into the park early do our ADR, but this is what we ave to do. Check in o the restaurant then I have to run to TSMM for FP and then run over to sign up one d y boys or Jedi training! It's gonna be a crazy morning! Also, where exactly do I go to sign him up! I know this will mean I will miss most of our breakfast! Even though I do not like te magic bands I am kind of hoping we get I test tem so I don't have to run to toy story anymore and just sign up for Jedi training!

I may be wrong but I remember hearing that your child has to be present to sign up for Jedi training. Also aren't the fast pass systems not on until regular opening hours?

I have never done early morning hours so your guess is good as mine! I haven't heard that they need to be present but if someone can confirm it would be great!

Last time we rode it once, grabbed fastpasses then rode it again before moving back to ToT and RnRC. The difference between FP returns were 50 minutes and by the time we got off of our second ride return times were already at 2pm and this was around 9am!

My boys did the Jedi Training Academy in 2010 and they DID have to be there with me when I registered them. I texted my brother and got him to hightail it over to me ASAP so they could do the first Jedi session of the day
