How are the crowds in middle Oct 11-19th? We're splitting days with US/IOA and WDW and throwing in a day at Seaworld :dazzle: :ROFLOL:. With Columbus day being Monday the 13th, I was wondering what would be the best park to attend Sunday. I'm thinking Seaworld pretty much all day. I've seen where this is also a day for their Halloween event. Has anyone attended Seaworld's Halloween party? From what I can find, it is included with standard admission but other than that, I can't really find much more info.

SeaWorld's Halloween event is a lot of fun, even for us "older" kids!

They partially change some of the shows like Pets Ahoy and Clyde and Seamore to have a Halloween character (Clyde comes out with a ghost costume on) and there are under the water sea creatures all over the place. They also use Bayside Stadium pathway for kids activities and candy! There's lots and lots of candy!

Kids can dress up too... I think.

Weekends will be busy at Shamu's house, but they only do the Halloween stuff on the weekends and a few select weekdays (when local schools have the day off)

Have fun!

Are the special shows done all day long? For instance, they are not done just at night like MNSSHP. I think we are going to plan the entire Sunday, Oct. 12 at Seaworld. Last time we were there was 3-4 years ago and it was the middle of summer and HOT! HOT! HOT! I'm really hoping that it will be a little cooler in the middle of Oct.

Thanks for the info.

I guess I shouldn't have used "special shows" words. It's the normal shows with a Halloween twist like Clyde coming out dressed like a ghost and the Pets Ahoy animals in costumes. The shows go on all day as normally scheduled. They are fun, especially with the Clyde and Seamore show!

The middle of October can still be hot here, just depends on the week, check weather.gov before the trip to plan accordingly.

The crowds at Universal during October are generally light except on HHN nights. On those dates, the crowds usually start showing up in the afternoon but otherwise...it's not bad.

Well...the Studios will close at 5pm some days in October due to HHN...the normal closing time is 6pm.
So, would it be better to schedule our day during one of the HHN off nights? We're breaking our US/IOA days into half days mostly, so I don't know if it will really effect us unless we're there at closing.

You can still do the Studios but just be advised they close early those nights but the crowds in October aren't too bad. If you get there early, you should be able to do everything before closing time. IOA closes at 7pm on HHN nights.

I wouldn't of thought going on a day with HHN is a problem because they semi-clear the park anyway (so there's not much incentive for people with hhn tickets to go in early). When I've been in October the whole place has been dead (no pun intended). HHN is pretty impressive but I don't recommend it for the easily scared.
