How would your day at The Magic Kingdom go?

Most people have an idea or plan of how they get through the Magic Kingdom. For me, I walk up Main Street U.S.A. and make my way through:
  • Adventureland
  • Frontierland
  • Liberty Square
  • Fantasyland (I usually eat lunch here at Pinocchio's Village Haus)
  • Tomorrowland (I usually eat dinner here at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe)
How would you normally spend your day? Would you do it similarly to me or have attractions spread out more? Tell me your average MK plan below.

Here is what normally happens every trip in MK:

1) Tomorrowland
2) Fantasyland
3) Liberty Square (We have lunch here at Diamond Horseshoe)
4) Frontierland
5) Adventureland
Then:
6) Fantasyland (Supper at Be Our Guest)
7) and lastly, we always end the day back in Tomorrowland re-riding some of our favorites (or race back to Liberty Square to get another chance at riding HM)

Ive always gone left, counterclockwise. But I always go to Splash first, then backtrack to do PotC. Then hit each land pretty much in order. I stop into each shop along the way and reserve the Main Street shops for later. Snack kiosks get visited along the way.
Now that changes somewhat as I return to MK for later visits during my trip. I may focus on hitting the lands out of sequence and bounce back and forth to do repeat rides or explore around without any particular plan in mind.

We usually do BOG breakfast so we'd start with a Main Street stroll, a ride in 7DMT before the masses arrive, then head to Tomorrowland!

Work out way back through Fantasyland, Liberty Square, Frontierland, then Adventureland.

Though honestly, we're all over the place when at MK. Walking doesn't seem as tiring there as it does at Epcot or AK!

For us, it depends. Sometimes we start in Tomorrowland. Other times we start in Adventureland. Fantasyland, Frontierland, Liberty Square all fall in the middle.

Always straight to Frontierland to ride Splash and Big Thunder back to back, because they're the family favorites (and I get to have more coffee and peace and quiet on a bench, because I don't do drops).

Then on to Fantasyland because that's usually where the FPs are. Lunch at Pinocchio's or Pecos Bills, with a few members of the family grabbing food at Columbia Harbour House and bringing it over.

We fit in Pirates/HM/Jungle Cruise with FPs after we've exhausted the first three, and usually save Tomorrowland for nighttime because it's so much nicer looking when it's lit up.

Jungle Cruise first. It is insane how quickly the wait times rise on that one. Then BTW, Splash, and Haunted Mansion. The backtrack to Pirates. Somewhere in there we do our first FP+. We do fantasyland next. Then hop over to Tomorrowland. Eventually we get tired a DVD head back for pool time. We do another mooring and head to whatever we missed the first day.

Walk through the stripmall, rush through Red Square covering my eyes to avoud the sights and my ears to avoid Move It, Shake It, run in the heat to my first fp deadline. Buy an ice cream afterwards to calm down, don't bother with that because they've gone up yet again to $5.50. Ride the PeopleMover instead and reminisce about better days.

My Magic Kingdom day.

Walk up Main Street and cut over to the Haunted Mansion, after the HM go back to Adventure Land have dole whip and ride the Jungle Cruise. After that Frontier Land, Liberty Square, Fantasy Land and Tomorrow Land. Stop at the emporium on the way out. Lunch is usually Cosmic Rays.

Last time what worked for us was first Pooh and Peter Pan at opening. I want to ride those but I refuse to wait a long time nor would I waste a FP on them. We had a 7DMT FP for around 10:00 and were able to do everything in FL before then! Then right at 10:00, when the line was super long for 7DMT, we just marched right up. It was great and we'll probably stick to that plan. Everything else is based on what our fast passes are.

For us it totally depends on how many days we are there, and what the touring plan recommends. This past time we split it between two days. Did the left side one day and the right side the other.

Usually get there at opening and knock most of Fantasyland out. This is usually followed by a visit to Frontierland to hit Country Bears, Splash Mountain, and Big Thunder. At this point I'm usually ready for a bite at Columbia Harbour House. After this I'll usually hit Haunted Mansion. Then I head over to Tomorrowland for Carousel of Progress, People Mover, and Space Mountain. By then I'm usually ready for a MK break so I'll then jump on the monorail and hit the three resorts on the loop usually grabbing a drink or two along the way. After this it's all what I feel like doing. May hop to another park, may go back to the resort...all depends. I don't usually ever go open to close at MK though as it's usually the park I start with and the one I return to most throughout my trip but it's also the one I find myself needing to take breaks from the most.

Breakfast at BOG, then first FP at 7DMT. Head to LS for HM, then FL for Splash and BTMRR. After that, randomly picking off attractions, including our last 2 FPs. Rinse and repeat. ;)

I think people tend to spend too much time trying to knock out entire "lands" in MK because they tell themselves it is too big to hop around the park. I literally do whatever has shortest waits and get the earliest fast pass available after using my 3.I will go back and forth between lands constantly. It takes minutes if you're a fast walker to get between lands.

For example, I rode Haunted Mansion, Splash, Space, and Thunder Mountain in the course of about an hour in peak afternoon (2-3pm). I had to ride Splash first and Thunder last so I went back to Frontierland, but we were able to do a lot in that hour.

If I'm in a soak it up mood, I'll of course take my time.

We used to go Counter Clockwise, but with the additions of the FastPass Plus we zig zag the park based on whatever attractions we can book.

I guess this "knock-out lands" thing is easier for me since I get the Disability Access Service. If I didn't then I would probably have more elaborate plans.

Yes
A day at the Magic Kingdom for our tour group alternates per trip between starting in Tomorrowland or Adventureland.
Fast passes alternates with the alternate land from starting.

Typical FPs
  1. Jungle Cruise
  2. Splash Mountain
  3. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train/Haunted Mansion
