How would you feel if Disney decided to no longer offer fireworks?

For whatever reason, environmental, cost, safety, or any other reason Disney decided to forgo fireworks from now on, would it affect your experience greatly? Just disappoint you? Be indifferent about it?

It would sure cut down on park exit traffic and congestion.

I agree with the previous posts...but after watching Wishes EVERY night, whether on purpose or on "accident", in the Magic Kingdom (my favorite park) since 2004...it gets kinda old. I would still love Disney, but I love them even more for their fireworks :)

Agreed, it makes the experience a lot better and is one of the things that separates wdw from other parks but not having illuminations or wishes EVERY night wouldn't really take away from my experience. If they did away with all fireworks it would decrease the awesomeness a bit but definately not ruin the day

I think that if they were to take away the fireworks completely it would definitely kill the magic of some guests.

Most times a staple of some vacations is going to see Wishes or Illuminations the night before you leave. Kind of like your big send off to wrap up your trip, and if they took away that show, trips could be left with an empty void.

This is, of course, all contingent on whether you like fireworks and the shows they have them with.

Me personally, I'd be super disappointed. The music and technology being used to tell the story of Illuminations is by far top notch and for them to just stop it would downright take away the experience of Epcot to me. When I think Epcot, I think Illuminations and the barges in the lagoon.

I would be disappointed because that's my cue to leave before the crowds since I rarely watch any of the fireworks. I think 2 years of working outside at Epcot ruined Illuminations for me forever

When people used to ask me why I went to WDW every year...and suggested other places, I'd always ask, "Do they have nightly fireworks extravaganzas there?"

They'd say No and I'd say, "I like fireworks."

I settled on that because it always worked.

I like fireworks.

Fireworks and the light parades are something you will never see anywhere else. I do remember a year where they only had Fireworks at the Magic Kingdom on certain nights if im remembering correctly.

I'd be very very disappointed. As others have pointed out, I think the fireworks are a mark of something that defines Disney and makes them unique...I find it special that they are willing to spring for the fireworks and make the neat shows involving the castle My family is one of those that makes a point of watching the fireworks at least once each time we go, along with illuminations and Fantasmic. We love the Disney nightly shows. If they took away the fireworks, I think it would be just one more piece of evidence that the management doesn't care about the guest experience.

No fireworks would surely take away an enjoyable part of our trip. We look forward to seeing the fantastic displays. When we took our first Disney trip and saw the fireworks my wife and I said " Now Disney has ruined our fireworks shows at home, Nothing can ever compare to what we saw here". I haven't enjoyed a 4th of July fireworks show in Maine since. When I want a pick me up I tune into youtube and watch replays of all the Disney extravaganzas.

If they eliminate fireworks, will they also adjust the price of admission accordingly, since one of their major entertainment offerings has been axed?

Why are we even discussing this?

Is Jimbo some kind of Disney plant to judge the waters on this idea?

We were there in the summer of '98 when firework shows were not allowed because of all the forest fires and it was not the same. It was especially noticeable during illuminations with just lasers and music.

I remember that summer. It was like a desert here in central florida. The water level in all the lakes was so far down it was insane.
