You don’t need the email to book. As long as you qualify you can use the link.

And to qualify you need to have

- a “blue card”

Plus

- a reservation made with your own points OR a cash stay booked through Member Services
I got the AP email yesterday morning at 8:10 am, had a 3 hour wait but got in. Very surprised...first time.

i got my email at 9:07, obviously was at a disadvantage right off the bat, why the staggered emails, seems everyone should be on a level playing field?

Some people never get emails from DVCbor Disney. It’s a long time issue, some people try for years to get it sorted. In my case I was told it was because years ago I opted out of advertising emails from my kids’ Club Penguin accounts, about 15 years ago.

Why should those people, whether DVC or AP, miss out altogether?

Plus email delivery can be delayed by hours, days even, if there’s an issue with your provider.

You should have followed the advice earlier in the thread ;)

I posted the link at 8:41am in the notification thread, and that would have sent you an email alert.
that is still 30 minutes behind others, why should some get a better chance to register, get better days and times than others, if i am late that is on me

still 27 minutes before i could.
@wdwmagic ‘s point is that had you “watched” the preview alert thread with the email option, you could also have been in the virtual queue before 9am.

Opening the page at any time between 8:40 and 8:59 gave you an equal chance in the virtual queue.

For as long as I can remember, AP and DVC event registration always opens before they send out the emails. Possibly to reduce the chance of the page crashing if thousands of people tried to log on at the same time?

This time round, the DVC registration page was up around 11 hours or so before registration actually opened. But the actual queue only opened about 20 minutes before the registration started.

I am very thankful that you posted the link for waiting room! Since I was driving, I was able to get the link to my sister and she got us into the preview!
