I have read a little bit about Pop Warner . I'm curious if this will effect my trip if I am staying at AOA dec 8 thru 16 ? If so how ? Are the park a effected too???? Thank you !
I'm curious to see replies to this question myself!! We will also be at AOA Dec. 6th-14th!! From my research however, it seems like although resorts might be super crowded, it shouldn't affect parks too much.

It won't affect much at your resort. The park experience however will be affected a little bit. (sorry....peeve) :) You will see more issues from the cheerleaders than the actual players though. The girls (with the Mom's chaperoning) are way more obnoxious than the players from the experiences I've had.

I went last year during Pop Warner and didn't really notice any big problems. I stayed at Pop Century and I don't recall seeing any big groups of kids running around the resort. I'm booked Dec 8th through 16th at POP (thought I'd be missing Pop Warner). The one main downside to being there during Pop Warner last year was that there was a black out period for the free DDP. I did get a good room rate discount though.

I had reservations at Pop that week and when I saw Pop Warner that week I changed to POFQ. Heard the food courts are crowded but the parks are OK. They stay at the All Stars with over flow at Pop . Some cheerleading groups at POR.

We havent experienced problems in the parks. Mornings you didnt see them, late afternoons and evenings they appeared, but like any large groups you can manage to avoid them. Certainly were not as obnoxious or rude like those other tour groups ;). But we did have issues in the evenings with loud late night groups of kids at POFQ resort. Chaperones apparently didnt care where they were or what the kids did after hours once they got back to the resort. Our complaints back at the lobby desk about excessively loud noise levels, running outside the rooms, banging on doors, were not addressed or got resolved. Oh, and we couldn't get near the hot tub... thats where they hung out mostly through the evening. Lobby CM told us there were cheerleaders were skinny dipping in the hot tub, no chaperones nearby to monitor. Guess theres no evening curfew for Pop Warner players or cheerleaders.

I was originally booked at All Stars last year when I found out about it, so I moved over to POP. I wanted to go to CSR but it was all booked up......with a lot of Pop Warner guests :)

When I was doing my Disney College Program back in 2007 my parents came to visit me and I booked them at All Star Sports during the Pop Warenr events. NEVER AGAIN. It was a bad call on my part as we've always stayed at moderate resorts but as a struggling college kid I had to do what I had to do lol. The pools were CRAZY. Refilling our mugs was a 10 minute ordeal in the food court and I swear a solid chunk of these kids had no chaperons. It was too bad at the parks, barely noticeable actually, even as a cast member but that resort alone... oh my goodness! o_O

We stayed at All Star Sports last year while they were there. The pools were definitely crowded, but we weren't swimming so it didn't impact us. Maybe we just got lucky with room location, but we weren't bothered with any extra noise. The one thing I did notice was that every evening as we walked back to our room and went past the pool/bar, a lot of the chaperones seemed to be at the bar, and they were REALLY loud. The food court was also really crowded in the mornings, but I didn't notice any difference at the parks.
