How to Get to Magic Kingdom for Early Breakfast

I'm not sure if this posted elsewhere, but I have been having a hard time trying to find a straight answer.

I am going to WDW in early May with one of my friends. We luckily got ADR at 8:05 AM on a Monday at the Be Our Guest Restaurant. I have been trying to figure out how we can get to MK early. We are not staying at a Disney resort and we did rent a car. I have been reading that that the monorail only starts running an hour before the park opens, which would me that it would start running at 8:00 AM. Is there any other way for us to get to the park early in order to make it to our reservation on time? This trip is both of our's first time so we are completely perplexed as to how to get to MK early enough to make our reservation. Thank you any input and help! It is much appreciated!

The monorail "officially" starts to run an hour before the park opens. It often starts running well before that. You should have no issue driving to the TTC and taking either the monorail or the ferry to MK.

Frankly I would contact Disney and find out when they will start operating the monorail and ferry. I know that they are moving the bag check and security from the maingate at the park to the TTC area and have not heard if this will impact any of the hours of operation for the transportation. I know that in the past we have had early reservations at 8:00 we parked and used the monorail just fine as they had a small area to the left of the maingate where people with early reservations had to check in.... but with the movement of the security and all I'm not sure if that will change or not.

Good advice. The problem is I can all but guarantee that the CM's at the call center will not know for sure.

Hopefully, someone who has had a similar situation since the new security went into place will chime in.

You can always have the taxi/uber drop you off at the Contemporary and walk over from there. Its about a 5-10 minute walk without kids.

They will have either the ferry or monorail running for early ADRs. Most likely the monorail, but if not then there will be a ferry.

The other option is taxi or Uber to the Contemporary resort, and then walk along the pathway to MK.

If all else fails speak to a CM at the TTC. I'm sure they will ensure you get to the main gate on time from the TTC.

When we stayed at the GF in November 2015, we caught the first resort monorail of the morning at 7:02 with the park was scheduled to open at 9:00.

I do not think the express monorail was running that early, but the resort one does stop at the TTC. You should be able to take that without issue as there are quite a few people getting to early breakfast reservations.

We always get 8:05am reservations for the Crystal Palace buffet breakfast. We always get the resort monorail to the MK which goes the opposite way via the Polynesian and Grand Floridian to the MK.
