How to get the cartoons from the lobby TV in my room?

I believe I read this somewhere, but can't seem to remember which channel or whatever. Can someone please help me on this? My kids could sit in the lobby watching the cartoons for a long time. It would be very nice to watch those cartoons in the room. Thanks for the help!

All the resorts used to have it. When they replaced the TV's, most lost the channel (Channel 96). There is no way to get it. Last summer, it was still available at the Poly. This winter, it was gone.

Another one of those "Disney wants you in the parks spending money" things.

...or the kids glues to the lobby TV while a parent grabs a few things in the lobby shops. Personally I don't leave my kids unattended to do ANYTHING, however...there are those...alas, I am drifting.

Oh no, my son will be very disappointed! We had that in our AS Sports room in 2009 and he absolutely loved those old cartoons! I can't believe he won't get to watch them this summer! He was actually telling his little brother about them last week!

When I stayed at GF in 2009 I was told they were the only resort that didn't have them in the rooms. Then we stayed at Poly in 2010 and they didn't have it either. Basically the room TVs are newer and don't get the channel. Someone on these boards once said if you get an older room with an older TV you may get them...but who wants to request an older room! :lol:

Anyone tried to call the resort and ask???? Just saying?!?!?!

I know at Disneyland Resort Hotels what they show in the lobby is a DVD on a endless loop so nothing in the rooms.
