How to find characters?

What is the best way to find out where characters are and when they meet in the parks? I thought I heard you could look in My Disney Experience, but other than a handful of princesses that are in the Hall in MK, I couldn't find where others like Pooh, Alice, Donald, Peter Pan..... or others would meet.

What is the best way to find out where characters are and when they meet in the parks? Go into the app and choose maps, then select the characters option from along the top.
Filter to Select the park and then hover over each of the Mickeys to see who meets there.
